Thats certainly not it. If you understand the game deeply, you know hes not doing well. They shoulda dropped 50 on GB and 70 on Miami. They werent that good on defense. When you have faulty play design....im not the only person whos pointed this out (many professional QBs have), poor situational awareness that lets the defense know running isnt an option or vice versa, it nakes it much easier to defend.
All MLF says Monday morning to EM…is we will get you the ball this weekend. You have to understand he’s the only WR required to know the entire playbook. He has to understand all WR positions. The other guys in Wilson, Davis and Berrios are only playing one position. So you ask me to know all positions, play me at the worst one, and get no targets. i’m pissed too. This is Mims but worst. This is kind of a crazy crutch to lean on. Who is routinely putting up 50 against bad defenses let alone good ones? Again… he can improve and also be doing a good job. Both are possible and that’s whats happening.
All due respect holding our opponents under 300 yards in each game is why we won. Our offense did a good job capitalizing on turnovers and not making mistakes, but yardage wise we haven’t been blowing teams away. Even the 40 against the dolphins was thanks to the D. We barely broke 300 that game.
Come on I am a fan but we have 2nd year QB, a rookie RB, Rookie Wr and patchwork o-line. We do not have a receiver on the roster that has ever gone over 1,000 yards and you think we should average 40 pts a game?
You obviously cant read. I said they should be, they play a lot of weak teams. This team has that many weapons on it. If this is your mindset, its no wonder you have a hard time grasping the concept of what im saying. MLF is limiting this team. If you knew anything about this team or my stance, instead of trying to tell me what i said, youd know i said they needed to run more. I was happy that they ran the ball, they were throwing way too much. If you actually read stats, youd know they were one of the highest passing percentage teams in the NFL and one of the Lowest.......who is that on????? Especially when you have a back up QB? That on MLF. Hes not scheming well.
He said "30-40". The defense and special teams gave the offense 10 points last week. They only had to score 20 themselves to reach that level. That is less than 3 touchdowns and they couldnt do it
I’m thrilled we’re 4-2. The team is fun. But I don’t think anyone is beyond criticism. Fact of the matter is we’re basically running Schotty’s offense 15 years later when we expected to be running a more modern offense.
Yes they can. They dont even have to throw it deep every play. Have you watched Moore, Wilson and Berrios? Theyre elusive after the catch. MLF calls 2 kinds of pass plays basically. Take 10 to 15 secs to develop or the screen. Listen nobody is taking away the wins, but to act like the gameplan has been great is just silly. Its been terrible and theyve won inspite of MLF not ZW. When teams come out flat like the Jets do, thats gameplaning. Adam Gase was great on that first drive, but nothing after.
once again you leave out all logic. We ran about 15 straight times inside the 5 right up the middle to end the game to run out the clock. Vintage Jets fan behavior here though. Won decisively in Lambeau but mad we didn’t score 40.
This is also the same message board that said theyd only win 5 or 6 games, guess i didnt know much then either.
