There's nothing wring with being charged up as a fan. After all, the word derives from "fanatic", so being crazy about your team is normal. That said, I don't share your conviction. Even without Tua, Miami is a damn good team, with a strong defense - better than the Steelers for sure - and they will have learned some things about Zach and the Jets after yesterday, they won't be sleeping on them. And Being down 4 Tackles for chrissakes! I'll be happy if they Jets can make it a close game. I'll be ecstatic if they somehow win.
I too have seen most of their games--their HC is a very sharp dude and in my mind will out-gameplan our CS. It will take excellent NYJ execution (and no Tua) for us to come out on top.
I think it may be closer than people think. Dolphins offensive strengths match the jets defensive strengths. I think we make backup QBs look like all pros too often, but if we can limit big plays and have a consistent offense we have a chance.
I bad feeling this thread won't age well, but at least it will have some longevity before it turns black Sunday
I think the Dolphins are overrated and they will be playing with their back up QB. However the Jets haven’t been consistent enough to guarantee a win over anyone let alone an at least solid Dolphins team. If the Jets can put a solid 4 quarters together then I do believe they can play with the Dolphins. Jets need to eliminate those WTF moments that have shown up in every game so far. Much like the Dolphins win over the Bills, this is our SB moment for the year. I’d expect with The 0-forever in the AFCE and 0-2 at home that the Jets will come out fired up and hopefully play their best game of the year.
Agreed. ...that's what makes rooting for a team fun. You can't be afraid of feeling good about your team, especially when their showing promise. I've been a Jet fan since 1965, and I'm still an optimist. GO JETS
Teams that are as bad as the Jets have been in the last 7 years need to learn how to win again. I don't care how they do it, just win baby.
Well duh. We're going 6-0 in the division this year so beating the squids is kinda a given. It's nice having OTHER teams dealing with injuries. Miami is down Tua. Bills down 1/2 their defense and now Jamison Crowder is done. Pats lose their QB too. If there was ever a time to sweep the division, this is it kids. This is it.
If you guarantee a win, you've got to stick around to get all the shit you deserve if they lose. And the credits if they win too. I predicted a win, but in no way am I confident enough to guarantee it.
I’ll consider believing in the team the day we have a QB that can play competently for a full game. That day has yet to come. I’ll actually believe in the team the day we have a QB that can actually play multiple full games in a row competently. Until then my common sense using the past as my guide will prevail.
