Nope, it’s the opposite, the team needs to understand that players will lie and take that into account when clearing them. These protocols are probably based in player symptoms more than anything else.
Yeah somehow I saw this one coming. It's justifiable considering anyone who saw how Tua reacted after he got up, would have known that he was not fit to continue.
But so far they have only addressed one person involved. If that is all they do then it's just window dressing.
Agreed. I think they'll make a more conscious effort going forward, but the NFL/Union needed to make an example of someone and he was the guy. They won't let another obvious "Tua" incident like last Sunday happen again any time soon.
My point was, if for this incident they only punish this one guy, then the whole concussion protocol is a farce. They can't "make a more conscious effort going forward" and expect for anyone to take them seriously. There needs to be multiple people accountable if as you said, "anyone who saw how Tua reacted after he got up, would have known that he was not fit to continue.". Just because they have the neurotrauma consultant does not give all the others a free pass.
No one ever gets dizzy standing up quickly unless they have a concussion /s I know it’s fun letting someone else live their life and make their own decisions but it’s waaay more fun to second guess those decisions an assign blame. #FIReEVERY1
As a Health Care provider I am all too familiar with present and former patients complaining about "quack " Drs Bad Cops Bad Politicians Administrators etc they are out there For a mega million enterprise the NFL Teams and Owners should staff their Neurologists only from the best:Cleveland and Mayo Clinic NYU or Johns Hopkins educated /trained It will make a big difference
this. the HC DID say something aboput talking about coevrages and 15 word play calls and Tua not SEEMIMG affected. LAST WEEK v Bills he shoulda been held out probably after the incident
most interesting game for me is Iggles vs Jags Hurts really playing well ( and being a Bama fan I am interested in WHEN a Bama QB will translate to the NFL and now we have 2 on the cusp with Tua) Lawrnece playing really well in year 2 lookinmg the part of a FRANCHISE type QB that, and the Bills Ravens
Rodgers looks bad - I wonder how much is his complete lack of chemistry with these receivers, and how much is his fault.
