Waffle House Indicator was at Red Level yesterday with 21 locations closed so you know it was bad

You could eat in a Waffle House in Florida, drive directly to a Waffle House in South Carolina and swear you had the same waitress. I have no doubt they are cloning waitresses and keeping that look so no one suspects anything

We could probably verify this with dental records

You don’t need the record to match 3 teeth

I wonder how warm the coastal waters up the East Coast are? If they're warm enough that sucker could drag all the way up to New England.

From what I’ve read, they are warmer this year, at least in the SE

Actually died down much quicker than expected. Minimal damage at my condos but lots of trees down everywhere. Flooding was the biggest factor but knew it would be.

It’s almost go time here. Winds were gusty yesterday, and through the night. Really picking up now.

I have a good friend that is building a house in Port Charlotte. He's in South Gulf Cove. So far he's only reported a few missing roof tiles. The house is about 85% complete. He still waiting on whether there's water damage or not.[IMG]

So one piece of federal spending legislation that would be money well spent would be to add a rider to all flood insurance that offers a 50% increase in money paid out if the policy holder gets the fuck out of Dodge and rebuilds in an area where flooding does not normally occur.

It would be a one time thing that gives people a huge incentive to lower our societies overall exposure to these kind of climate-driven events.

You could add a condition that the property being vacated has to be turned over to the state and replanted as mangrove or whatever is best to help control flooding.

Finally just breezy. The back end of the storm was the worst. They said the highest was only 70mph, but I find it hard to believe. But , nothing but a bunch of debris to clean up for me, others not so lucky. Lots of surge, flooding, trees down, roofs torn. Hope that’s it for the year.

Made it ok, with just a little wind forced water in the garage.... lots of other areas not so good, including the block behind me.
Downtown St. Augustine went swimming again :(
