When I suggested in the pregame thread that last week was a gift that we had no business winning, and that I expected a loss today, I got flamed for being a negative Nancy. We still have too many holes, and a buffoon of an owner. We just have to hope that Zach survives the season and doesn't suck, and that JD finally addresses the OL in the offseason.
Are you suggesting those who believe in "fantasy" football should be exempt from reality and criticism?
This tread title is CORRECT. We've stunk for 2 games and 58 minutes and 5 seconds. We've been miraculously fantastic for 1 minute and 55 seconds. That's the facts!
Yes, bipolar around here as always haha. Honestly there are a few bright spots-- Garrett, the two young RBs, and the STs for example. It's so rare we have talented and hard-working players. But... this org has a loooong way to go to get to consistent competitive football. And I for one am not sold on Zach, so that's my main source of doom and gloom.
I don't blame him. Consistently seeing things a solid 1-2 years before our most ardent homers do is frustrating. Especially when those homers act like there's no way anyone could've seen this coming once it's finally obvious even to them. Darnold, Becton, Saleh...the list goes on and on.
Having a disinterested 37yr old stiff as our QB option was a CHOICE tho. One we even traded to get back, as if his first run here wasn’t enough. Decisions like that are why the team is this bad. Cle and Cincy are not good teams atm either. Neither is Pitt next week but I’m not optimistic.
That's because you're a coward. Anyone can crap on the optimistic fans ex post facto... especially Jet fans. You seem to think you have a unique talent..
They haven't run a single offensive play all soeason with a lead besides a kneeldown. That's a problem. But while they may be playing like an 0-3 team, they're really 1-2. And 1-2 means there is still time to turn it around if Zach Wilson proves to be a big upgrade.
It was quite sad to see so much “hope” , after a once in a lifetime 1.5 minutes of football all week.
So you expected to enter the season at 0-3, looking terrible in the process? I didn’t. But you are right in that beating Pitt, and somehow managing a 2-2 record, is about the only hope for salvaging 2022. It would be huge. Based on how they been playing how are we gonna beat them tho?
