I like Davis, but last year woes had little to do with ZW and more to do with drops that hit him in the chest or hands. He was hurt and he wasn’t himself.
The more I read this thread the more I want to say. Ok but.. As a Jets fan who cares if Davis is better than Wilson or vice versa right now. They are both coming along great and lifting this offense to where the competition has to account and guard all three closely. Moore, Davis, and Wilson and even Berrios for that matter. Oh what a wonderful, wonderful problem for us to have. Seems like yesterday we would have been happy with at least one stud for starters to lift this team up. We have come a long way in this area teammates. On to our next area of need.
If your going to rag on Davis for his timely drops then you have to mention Wilson's drop vs. Browns in 4th quarter. Personally I'll give them both a Mulligan.
I'm going to hold off on the Gardner Wilson jersey because the last jerseys I purchased was Mims & Wilkerson. If you get where I'm going. I am not superstitious. ..knock on wood, but I'll hold off a few more games.
I agree…that was a bad drop too on Wilson’s part glad they both made up for their drops later in the game However, Davis had a bunch of drops last year so it was an issue he needs to clean up going forward if he’s to be our #1 receiver. yea Wilson had a drop but he hasn’t played enough games yet for us to say it’s an ongoing issue or problem I hope in both cases they clean that all up…I get drops happen, not every well thrown ball is caught, but it felt like Davis was above league average in that dept last year … maybe he wasn’t and it was that they came in big moments more often than not…I’d have to look up the stats I guess to be sure, but it sure Felt like he had more than top receivers typically do
Yeah I swore off Jets jerseys after I bought a Brandon Marshall one and he suffered a knee injury the very next game. The last one before that was Coples. Not a great track record!
The only Jets jerseys I've ever had was a Curtis Martin and throwback Joe Namath. Martin one was brought in 2000 I remember. I almost purchased a Jonathan Vilma and Santana Moss jersey cause I'm a Miami Hurricanes fan and loved we had some Hurricanes on the Jets.
