3 and out on the game's first possession? It was Conklin I think. Saleh challenged and every single person thought it would be overturned.
The George Fant holding call on the Michael Carter long outside run near to the goal line was terrible.
Someone has to explain to me why all teams not named the "Jets" get a free play when the other team commits Neutral Zone Infraction.
well i will name the stud and dud for cleveland. its the same guy Nick Chubb. he and hunt shredded the jets run d in the 4th q yet inexplicably scored a TD with 202 remaining. should have taken a knee at the 5. thats 2 and 3 at the 5 @ the 2 minute warning, jets had no timeouts and could have milked the clock down to 40 seconds and then kick a FG that gives the jets under 40 seconds to score twice with no timeouts. as far as the jets studs oline—much improved effort flacco—had time to pass. found open recievers 110 passing rating. still too may drop backs (45) only 20 running plays special teams-the onsides recovery was a thing of beauty. its great when a plan works zuerlein—nice recovery from week one fiasco duds run d—flat out was worn down by the cleveland oline in the 4q. Another guy that ought to get a real atta boy is Max Mitchell for that fumble recovery at the critical point that was nothing but pure hustle and not taking anything for granted. All things considered I thought he held up decently against a Cleveland front that has a few absolute animals on it.
he made contact with the offensive line. When the defender does that, it draws a whistle. Football 101
The Tight Ends deserve recognition for wearing out Myles Garrett by chipping him every play. He was sucking wind at the end and completely spent. If not for the TEs doing that, we might’ve seen a very different outcome where Myles Garrett closes the door on a Jets comeback
If he made contact then it's encroachment. A neutral zone infraction is when the defensive player moves into the neutral zone and causes the offensive lineman to move.
CBS earns the Booby Prize for jinxing the Browns with their stupid 1993 throwback feature detailing when Cleveland last opened the season 2-0.
My only dud to add are our DE's for not setting the edge well enough on end arounds. Cle, especially Chubb, made a lot of yards that way. Otherwise, a nice big "stud" to the whole team for rallying together after a bad opener and playing hard. Even if the game ended after 58 minutes, I would feel this way.
