The Old Man came thru. Somehow the Jets OLine managed to keep Flacco in one piece long enough for him to complete passes.
Holy fuck, I'm so fucking happy. The offense pulled one out of their asses. All credit to Flacco and the Browns defensive coordinator (and Braden Mann).
We have an entire week ahead of us where we can hold our heads high as Jets fans. We can regale our drinking buddies at the bar with tales of Joe Flacco and Garrett Wilson and the Corey Davis bomb that launched us. This is what it feels like to be the fan of a successful team. Time for Saleh and company to figure out how to keep us on a roll. Nobody thought the FitzMagic Jets were going to do anything special until they willed it into existence.
not to take away from our win, but will Wilson ever have a day like Tua just did. 6TDs 469 yds, scored 28 in the 4th to comeback and beat Balt 42-38
Boy the mood of this thread suddenly took a 180. I'm going to enjoy my NY Strip Steak tonight. A great win and I've been watching this team since 1960.
I don't. I still believe there is no point to playing Flacco on a team like this one, or rather, a guy like White is clearly a better option in my view. Flacco seems like a nice guy though, he can still throw the ball at times, and I'm ridiculously stoked at this miracle win so I'm definitely enjoying it, but it doesn't do anything to change my opinion of Flacco's worth to a team in transition like this one. Whomever is making the decision to continually play him (Joe or Saleh) has really questionable judgement to me. I'm really happy it barely netted out positive in this game. Nice to finally win in September!
I'm just not going to think about next week until kickoff. Enjoying a highly entertaining win is more than enough until Sunday.
Well, well, well... I posted this AM (here in AZ) I wanted a competitive FB game for 60 minutes. Maybe I should post similar posts weekly, hell, it can not hurt. I sat in disbelief by the browns blown coverage,,,then the OS kick. Kudos to the HC and CS and players. You can shove my receipt up my A**, I'll take the win and abuse...just keep the ball rolling now and keep winning, please.
Jets made their own luck today with the fake punt and the successful onsides kick. They needs to keep doing stuff like that until there is a real framework for success. If nothing else it makes them a helluva lot more fun to watch.
Here is to all the rooks and vets that played their hearts out. A few mistakes here and there that can take us to the next level once corrected. I would like to thank our rookie RG for a heads up and smart play that saved us. This kid may be the steal of the draft for us and that’s saying something.
