I'll be driving back down to Delaware from Lake George, so, I'll have to listen to this one in my truck.
Against my better judgement, I think the Jets will win this one. I'm basing this off nothing tangible though...sheer optimism this week. Can't wait for the Jets to bring me crashing back down to Earth on Sunday.
This feels like a game where we hang around for a while before the Browns pull away in the 4th quarter.
This game will 100% be won or lost up front by our D-Line. Stop their run and we can get this one. It's about minimizing the mistakes...
If Watson was playing we would clearly be getting creamed, as it stands it should be close but I am still expecting us to lose if he goes with Flacco (who I noticed has by far the highest career earnings of any player on the Jets roster at $174m)
Lol here are your 3 choices Coach Salah vs mighty Jacoby B 1 Start Old Joe and suffer another 10-14 pt loss 2 Start Mike White and maybe lose by 7 points but we see a little more, perhaps, competitive offense cause White has something to prove he is legit 3 really think out of the box and start Chris strevelor who my shock us to a Win...I would be proud of the HC if he had the stones to at least yank JF if we fall behind early OTOH if it comes down to Coaching decisions vs Kevin Stefanski your ass is grass lmao. He knows he can wear down our D with Chubb and then its just game over if Jets cant keep pace with points. Plus the Joe Douglas Mish Mash OL wont contain Miles G and company...oh boy hmm 15 games games to go after this one
There are still some factors that I wonder like: -How good are the Ravens? -How bad are the Panthers? -How much worse at QB is Jacoby Brissett compared to Lamar Jackson? I think some people are too literal like the Jets lost Week 1, the Browns won Week 1, the game is in Cleveland, so slam dunk win for the Browns. It is more complicated than that. The road may actually do the Jets good too. Possibly less pressure for them. No one should have confidence in a Jets win at the moment, but it is definitely possible. Especially with a strong defensive effort and a few more splash plays from the offense.
The Browns have a top 3 secondary, a top 3 backfield, top 5 OL, and top 10 DL. If you’re going into this game thinking the Browns aren’t good, you’re going to be highly disappointed.
Pavia does an excellent job of breaking down the match-up against the Browns: https://jetsxfactor.com/2022/09/15/ny-jets-browns-gameplan/
Browns will host Steelers at home on Thursday night. Only 4 days after our game. It is a prime time game for them and a divisional game. Since they won at Carolina, they might overlook this game. If Jets defense can step up and we slow the game down thru run game, we might really win
If Saleh somehow pulls out a Win here my respect for him and the rest of the CS will skyrocket because underdogs have to find a way to beat an opponent with superior talent...right And I just cant buy into the Posts that claim the Browns are hardly better..really??? lol This is a game versus a Franchise that was bottom of the barrel and climbed its way back to at least Average NFL respectability...and we the Jets OTOH are sadly at the Doormat As I recall NCJets was calling for our Team to make a play for Watson (which I thought was a good experiment to try tbh) . Now the Browns have cashed in on him.
"Skyrocket"? Respect for an organization, a coach or a player should never pinball like that based on what happens in a single game. That's a surefire recipe for brewing up a big pot of long term misery.
Ah yes... the classic "trap game". Normally these happen later in the year but we're talking Jet Football.
