Have you lost faith in Robert Saleh as a Head Coach? Please note - if your answer is "It's too early to tell", that means you have NOT lost faith.
I’m getting there. Insisting upon starting Flacco every week when anyone can clearly see the man has nothing left is going to sink him. Unless he’s actively trying to lose games at this point, he’s not inspiring any confidence
Yes, I lost it last year when we looked so unprepared every week. But I chalked it up to being a rookie HC and have been waiting for him to regain my faith every since. It hasn't happened yet.
Every unit on the Jets looks bad except for special teams and by ST's I mean the coverage and return units, the kicking game sucks. How can a HC have every unit underperforming and still retain the confidence of the fans? 4-14 and counting.
No not yet, but I think the ice we're standing on is starting to get a little thinner. Every once in awhile I hear a nasty crackling/snapping sound and I'm not sure what it is. I'm starting to hear those noises a little more often with each passing week it seems and its now enough that I'm a little nervous.
I’m always in wait and see mode when it comes to new HCs and still am. Let the man grow and the team grow and then we’ll see. Jets fans would’ve gotten rid of Parcells after his first year with Giants and Belichick after his first year with Pats.
Yes, we get blown out way too many times for a "good" coach. Good coaches don't lose by 2 TDs+ every week.
I have not lost faith yet. I like his style not the results. IMO the most glaring issue is the offense at this moment. I think we have talent on both sides now. It's all a mater of execution and it is lacking.
By the time Parcells got to us, he already had a winning Pedigree as a HC. Something this team sorely needs today.
Parcells was a huge buy. He cost us a record-setting contract for a HC at the time plus 3rd and 4th round '97, 2nd round '98 and 1st round '99 draft picks. They also gave Parcells full control of the football operation making him both HC and GM. An example of a similar buy today would be the Jets going after John Harbaugh (not Jim) and giving up 4 draft picks and a $20M a year contract for Harbaugh to either HC with a caddy GM of his choice or be the HC/GM.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt last year because he was a first time HC, but there has to be growth this year. After one game, it's too early to say if he'll show it or not, but the early returns are not promising.
One game is entirely too short to say I’ve given up on him personally especially when last year was purely a developmental year. I’ll say anyone that has, never really gave him a shot in the first place, because of the circumstances coming to this team IMO.
