Can’t believe it’s been 21 years doesn’t feel like it.. It’s one of the few days I can remember so much of my whole day.
I was a college sophomore. Just got back to my dorm room after 8am class. My roommate was freaking out about what was happening on the news.......about 10 minutes of watching live footage, then 2nd plane hit......rest of the day was a blur. Crazy to think about that some players playing in tomorrow's game were in diapers when New York City was attacked.
Just a quick story - My brother and sister-in-law had dinner at Windows on the World on the Sunday night before 9/11. I baby sat for their 1 year old daughter that night. At the time, my SIL was pregnant with my 2nd niece. My older niece joined the US Marines last year. She told me it was because she is proud of our country.. Her younger sister was born in May of '02. This summer, she had an internship in the new World Trade. Time passes quickly.
9/11 has sadly become meme material on the internet. For whatever reason people find what happened that day funny. And it's not just the "zoomers" that are doing it. I've noticed those in their late 20s and early 30s doing it too. I just don't get it.
