9/7/2022 - Mark today as the day that I am officially "out" on Zach Wilson. Start the hunt for the new QB as soon as possible. It's in the best interest of the franchise to do so.
This season is unravelling pretty quickly. A big part of the anticipation was finding out if Zach was the man or not. Now he's going to miss a chunk of the season, and may miss even more time the way injury estimates blow with the wind with this franchise. If he sucks, there will be people who say it's because he was injured and missed time and he just needs a good offseason and a proper 'chance'... Now we get to see Joe Fucking Flacco snooze his way through the first few games and our season could well be on life support before Zach even steps onto the field. As someone said further up, it sounds like Zach must have either reinsured himself in practice, or had a flare-up that needs to settle down before they risk pushing it again. 'He's like an egg back there.' What a shitshow this franchise it.
Just a complete lie. Wilson doesn't look fantastic. If he did he would play. This guy needs to get real
I’ve been pretty down on Zach for the last month or two just with his poor showing in preseason and dumb ass plays where he “should have” run out of bounds but gets injured instead. We need to draft a big dude. They need to change the grass. They need to do SOMETHING. I still for some reason like JD, but he seems to have whiffed on HC, QB1, and left tackle. Can we trust him to pick another young QB and coach?
One step at a time - entirely possible Zach could come back and play well - but hard not to start thinking this way^. Also not a good look for Saleh. But on the topic of not taking things one step at a time, 2023 looks like a great draft for QBs!...
Saleh: “There’s a chance Zach plays week one.” Also Saleh: “He hasn't had a set-back. He looks fantastic. He still looks good, he feels good, and you guys are gonna get a chance to talk to him you'll see, he's not walking with a limp or anything." ALSO Saleh: “He’s out until at least week four.”
Went from Zach could possibly play Sunday... to Zach won't start till week 4. Maybe Saleh should just STFU...
Watching all this young talent develope and grow will be fun this season. The more I read this site the cynicism with notable exceptions drives me away. Some fans seem to be more interested in their negativity being correct than enjoying the season. Good football analysis is always fun to read but the acting like we know more than the GM and coaches is weak because we are not in the arena. Go Jets!
The guy needs to realize he's losing credibility at an alarming rate. Have to go the Belichick route of saying nothing and never being specific or you'll get picked apart.
First Becton and now Zach... Either the front office is inept, dishonest, cautious... or just dumb. Pick one.
I’m not that down on the front office however there’s no reason it has to be an either or proposition
