Wonder what Mims' nett yards after penalties was?

Spot on comment. The previous two GM plus JD first year were samples of poor drafts. OBTW loved the Brad Smith Leon 2006 picks.

I support this assessment whole heartily. The one thing at this stage I think they both have in common is that for what was expected of them, one a season vet considered a #1 WR, one a big strong rookie expected to stretch the field and win contested catches is simply this. So far they both have been big disappointments for the Jets. Forget any other comparison, they both have much to prove this year, question is, how much of a chance will Mims have to do that.

My favorite part about Mims and his cult whining about the lack of opportunity is that it’s mostly Mims fault. Between the injuries and performing well below average when healthy, The team had no choice but to go find the competent receivers Mims is now rightfully buried behind. I guarantee you we don’t have Corey Davis if Mims lights it up year one. And I guess I’m kind of glad Mims has been a total bust or else we may not have the WR room we have now which on paper is the best room we’ve had since 2009

    That's a really dumb post.

The funny thing is that Corey Davis IS the bust you are proclaming Mims to be. Drafted 5th overall, he was a massive bust for Tennessee and was just as shitty year 1.

It would be like if someone signed Denzel Mims to $13 million a year this offseason and then a fan from their team posted they were 'glad' because their 2nd round draft pick can sit the bench behind him. We'd be laughing at that team and at that fan

Not sure about 2009. 2015 Marshall, decker, enunwa was pretty good. Moore Wilson could be special in a year or 2 though

Youre telling me there’s no difference between Mims career up until this point and Davis’s career up until last year? Do you seriously still wonder why people think you’re trolling?

Davis prior to being a Jet: 56 games, 2851 yards, 15 TD

Mims career so far: 20 games, 490 yards, 0 TD

but yea man us signing Davis was totally the exact same as if someone gave Mims that contract today.

Top to bottom on paper this room is better than 2015. The high end talent was higher in 2015 but the construction of this room is way better IMO

I think they are very similar players in their skill level. Corey Davis is many ways is a worse player for this team because he drops the ball more and he's making $13 mil vs. Mims $1.3 mil.

I am not "glad" that he gets all the snaps just because of that contract

See the edit in my post above. You’re so far off base with your original “point” it’s comical. One may call it trolling.

There’s a difference between disagreeing and posting facts to refute someone’s bullshit. Usually with you it’s the latter. And it happens so often that it’s really hard to believe you aren’t trolling.

Using actual facts, please tell me how signing Davis after his four years with Tennessee would be the equivalent of someone signing Mims after his two years with us.

You must be from a different universe in the multi verse with this crazy take. It is a borderline troll take, gotta agree.

No you’re just mad because you disagree with him. Just ask him, he’ll tell you. There’s no way his completely asinine take supported by nothing could be considered trolling.

@BrowningNagle ain't trolling... that's just his hot take.

If we can't express our opinions without getting ad hominin attacks... then the conversation gets stifled.

I don't know... but the whole "troll" thing is a weak-ass rebuttal.... and so played out.

And yes... I'm well aware of the times he's slung it at me...

I just don’t understand how someone can say the things he says and actually mean it. Doesn’t help that he runs when people provide facts or when he’s asked to provide something other than his opinion. He just eats up bandwidth and I guess I’m equally as guilty for encouraging it.
