Yes it was. Denzel Mims had 7 catches for slightly over 100 yards. It's obvious to me he was too talented for any Giants 2nd and 3rd stringer capable of defending him....

Well, I got an idea we're going to find that out. Run your mouth all you please right now but if he becomes a great success be a man and come back here and accept your ridicule.....

Im not sure “he’s better than the third stringers on a bottom 5 team” has the impact you think it does.

And the Giants started their 2nd stringers and most of their 3rd stringers were on the bench by halftime.

    Trade Mims.

Jeff Smith plays special teams and is a more versatile route runner (can play both x and y). Davis is Mims but a better version. Also Irvin Charles has had a good camp and arguably higher upside.

The guy they need to keep on the roster imo is Zonovan Knight as he’s got talent and some team will poach him so would rather see the Jets keep 4 backs vs 6 wr’s…

Much like the Streveler game, Mims made some plays but no one even knows the name of the defenders besides their moms.

    Agree on Zonovan.
Strong runner that fights for yardage.

Well there's... ah shit, no, you got me.

The argument for Mims basically comes down to if Davis goes down do the Jets need a bigger receiver who can win contested catches and can Mims do that against actual NFL players as effectively as he did against bubble players and camp cuts. He certainly wasn't getting much separation if any, but at least it looked like he was running the right routes and didn't commit any pre-snap penalties. JD ain't giving him away, that is for sure. Mims will make the roster now so what's the best trade offer that comes in. If its a 4 I'm probably biting.

When you aren't given the chance to work out those things, what do you expect?

He's had health issues. Injury issues.

He's still young. Two different offenses..

Isn't given nearly the same amount of reps as others at the position.

Does he not deserve some leeway too when It comes to growing pains at the position? It's not like the kid has completely shit the bed either. He's had some mistakes. It happens.

    ..but, AGAIN.

When given the chance, he has shown out. All I'm saying.

It is possible that the 30 year old offensive coordinator who has never done anything in this league was wrong

Unlike you dean makes rational points. You don't have to agree but he has some logic and thought behind his take. You just hate Zach Wilson and think he should be playing like a vet before throwing a pass year 2.

Meanwhile how is Sam doing? Do you still think it was the wrong move to move on from him?

Mimms I am still rooting for the kid.

Do you think it’s weird that the people who cover the team every day in practice also question whether or not he’s even good enough to make the team? We see his “highlight” plays the one or two times per season he makes one, of course we think he’s being held back. The people who see him day in and day out think he’s on the bubble. And it’s not just our coaching staff.

I’ll say it again, do I think he should make the team? Yes. Has he done himself any favors at all? Nope. Would I be shocked or upset if we let Calvin Jackson instead? Not at all.

Yes, the guy who has played less games with Zach Wilson than without Zach Wilson definitely has Zach Wilson to blame.
