Eddy Piniero cut in favor of Zuerlein. To bad for Eddy. It was neck and
    neck till the end.

Mildly surprised at the timing of that. Not a criticism. Possibly giving him the option to land elsewhere if the coaches have made their decision.

Guess I can culturally inappropriate my sombrero.
Fingers crossed for Zuerlein because we always seem to keep the wrong kicker.

I think you are right about that, as I'm sure that Eddy is good enough to make a roster somewhere in the league

I'm not surprised though I was pulling for Piniero as the younger guy hoping he could establish himself as their longer term kicker. I do think Zuerlein looks far more like an NFL kicker though. The box score for Piniero was great last year, but some of his kicks looked pretty weak (low and barely through from longer distances) and struck me as having a weaker than average leg. If Zuerlein falters and he's still available, I hope he'll get another call though.
Another positive of keeping Zuerlein are his nicknames. Greg the Leg.. Legatron.. Surely an important factor for JD

yeah but Pineiro had a great nickname too. "Dinero Pineiro". Nickname factor was a tie

I hope this was the right move, Piniero was very good for us last year.

They prob cut him so he could get a full time job somewhere else. He is bound to get picked up
