Oddly enough, no one seemed to mention that today.

I'm assuming it was Edoga as he was getting most of the reps with the 1's yesterday but that's just speculation on my part.

For sure. Really hope we add another OT soon.

Sounds like Edoga held his own today but I'm not confident he could do that for 17 games.

Edoga would be the only choice for most of the reps with Mcdermott out. Mitchell had gotten some reps yesterday but he has been characterized by the media as a developmental pick that will need to sit this year.

What he the RT? Also keep in mind this was a light day without pads. Additionally we cannot always survive on quick short passes. We need someone better. And soon.

It won’t just be short passes, misdirections, moving pockets, max protection, rb / te chipping on the way out on routes. There’s plenty of ways to scheme some help. Adding Conklin and CJ is huge now as they are both capable blockers

Chuma Edoga should be fired up. Unless the team makes a trade/FA signing --- he is getting a chance (albeit by default/injury). No longer a rookie, - its his 4th season. By that simple standard, he is a veteran. He's had plenty of practices, meetings & team activities for him to show that he's a capable NFL player ---- backup or not. The last opportunity he has to continue employment in the NFL. I'm not expecting Pro Bowl play, - but the guy has to show something.

Well I'd give Mitchell the first go at it as we already know Edoga is shite

I really really hope they are being overly cautious with Reed. He had been having a great camp.

Usually veteran rest days are during padded practices. Kind of a gyp to get a rest day during a non contact practice. Fingers crossed that Mitchell will pan out.

I’d give edoga first crack. He could surprise and give us a more options moving forward. Mitchell is here for 3 more years after this.

Well, of course he all of the sudden is no longer developmental, because Becton is out and McDermott/Edoga suck! Hence he became non developmental as he can actually be better than these scrubs even now. That doesn't mean he is a good RT now. What that means is that we need Duane Brown, Brandon Shell, or someone else pronto!

Despite the depressing Becton news there is something to celebrate in that we have made it all through camp up to the 1st pre-season game. The next time KYJet posts Jet action tweets it will be game tweets. That is something to be excited about. Besides Becton the only other significant injury is to Reed. Hopefully we will see Reed against Atlanta. I am looking forward to seeing so many players Friday bit most of all hoping for no injuries.

All aboard the Max Mitchell hype train! I predict it's just a matter of time before he's their guy at RT. It's a step up in competition, but he's very experienced, played at a very high level, and is a great scheme fit. Also, he's a high 4th round pick, not a flier in the 7th round so the expectation should be he's a potential starter. Or maybe Edoga can surprise and take a step forward. But unless these guys look really good, they should add a vet. I'd been very on board for Duane Brown, but given he's never even played RT, I'm now concerned about him

how GREAT would it be if Mims became the player that i hoped he'd be... ( my desire at that spot was Tee higgins then Mims)
