Thanks Noam. I will give it a listen. This was part of the reason I didn't like JJ as a prospect. He's 23 years old and still a project when it comes to pass rush. His college film shows exactly what you said; great against the run and power bull rush. I wanted KT at #4. I'm hoping JJ can improve and be a key to this pass rush. Seems like a hard worker and a likeable guy.
I have read a lot about JJ and have heard similar things. The most disconcerting thing to me pre-draft was his low pass rush win rate but a lot of people smarter than me have said that in college his 1st responsibilities were often setting the edge and playing the run and that he did a lot of things that did not show up on the stat sheet and that he should do much better as a wide 9 rusher where he can just go. I guess we will see. I did not want him in the top 10 but 26 seems like good value. Love his personality, his team 1st attitude, his story and his interviews. Hard not to root for him. But, like you I am a skeptic. Someone, I am trying to think of who, did a really good video breaking down a ton of his plays in college and his responsibilities on each play. It really made me feel a lot better and more optimistic. My guess it was X factor but maybe not as I know Blewitt was pretty critical pre-draft. Maybe Sabo? I am not sure but either way it made me feel a lot better to see how he was used at FSU.
Oh man! Zach is going to be one of the top 5 QBs in the league this year! EDIT: Just kidding. If so many people can overreact to one dirt ball thrown yesterday, why can't I overreact to a couple of good passes?
Hey guys, let me know if I’m in the wrong section, but Thursday is open to the fans, correct? I saw tickets are sold out, any other way I could get in?
