Get him in the field? Lol. Do you really expect him to beat out Joyner or even the faster Pinnock?

I don’t think Nasirildeen is really in the Jets future. Would he be a starter on most NFL teams? No. He was picked in the 6th round and immediately moved to another position. He’s basically an experiment. Which is fine for a 6th round pick. I doubt he’ll be on the roster next year after the Jets revamp the LB position.

He is a safety not a linebacker. I agree with those analysts

He looked such a promising player, a very hard hitting tackler with upside.

From all reports he did well last year on ST and made an impact.

In regards to the article it is garbage. It was pure speculation written for page hits. Like Roach said he is not beating out Pinnock and Davis. His path to making the team is at LB and given his ST play last year he has a good chance of making the roster.

Nasirildeen dropped in the draft because he tore his ACL in the last game of 2019 & needed a full year to recover. With the exception of 2 games, - he missed the entire 2020 season. He probably should have redshirted his senior year & stayed. Would've likely been a 2021 3rd rounder at least if he doesn't get hurt.

But actually - I would certainly take Jason Pinnock getting a lot more playing time at safety as well. I just don't see the future in Joyner --- even just the future of the upcoming season.

I remember there was a GG poster who said this guy was the steal of the draft or something to that effect.
