Loooooove this pick. He had a higher yards after contact than Carter did at UNC and that skill translated for Carter. Hall is an explosive playmaker.

This team got more explosive over the last 4 picks. I love it.

    Zach Wilson has NO excuses.

I like the pick but I really hope Saleh has a good grasp on Becton being on track. I wouldn't mind seeing some OL depth picks in the latter rounds.

I wanna say more missed tackles forced than Carter too, and Carter had a TON. Hall is really legit.

Absolutely love the pick and trading up was a good and necessary move.

It is such a rare feeling, this team has literally been picking all the guys I wanted.
And been aggressive in getting it done.

it’s amazing what a warm seat can do to finally create a sense of urgency.
Notice the theme of play ready picks.
Welcome to the Big leagues JD…finally.
This may be a signature draft.

LB, DL or S with final picks please.

I'd hate to see that "bag of butcher knives" turn into a "bag of plastic straws" right before our eyes...

Douglas first draft was for Gase, who got him the job, or at least the interview. Douglas wasn’t in total control of the team then. I’d be willing to bet Gase had a lot of input on those picks, none of which really fit into the new staff. Perrine isn’t fast enough for the shanahan run scheme. He’s definitely built for the Gase slam it up the gut and hope for 3-4 yards though. As for Coleman, he came here for one reason, to help install the playbook. I doubt he factor much this year if the 2 young guys stay healthy.

Wow!!! JJ, Wilson, Sauce and Hall. I picked all four. This is a great pick. Breece is also an excellent receiver. Imagine Barrios, Moore, Carter, Hall, and Davis all on the field. Lots of options will they run or pass.

I'm telling you, Douglas had a mid-1st grade on Breece Hall. I don't like the concept of trading up, but I actually appreciate it under Douglas because he seems to only use it when there is a ridiculous discrepancy between his evaluation of the player, and the point they're at in the draft.

He doesn't trade up just to get the one guy he likes out of a group of similarly talented players, he moves up when there is a player available whose talent is significantly in excess of where the draft is at that time.

AVT was the last of the handful of true bluechippers Joe identified in the draft when they moved up to 14 to grab him.

Moore had a top-25 grade on him according to Douglas, so despite getting lots of calls to trade #34, they stayed put because the value of the player was significantly above the point in the draft.

Now JD moves up a couple of spots for Hall. I truly believe they saw him as a guy that had fallen noticeably past his grade on their board - I don't think it was about him being the guy they wanted out of a group of similarly graded players - I think they had him as head and shoulders above the available players at that point. Just my opinion though.

Taking that further, it’s not a reach to think Breece would’ve been a top ten pick pick years ago, if not higher. I love this added weapon.

All that's needed now on offense is a TE who can develop under the wing of the FA's we got.

Good pick. The Jets offense was fast last year now after picking Wilson and Hall they are blazing fast …..

Now I’d like to see them take a LB …

Man what a cop out excuse this is.
JD was not only in charge of the draft selections, he was in charge of the final 53, free agency, and of disassembling any talent that was here (you think Gase wanted that?), AND he fully supported Gase which makes me question his judgement to begin with.

To blame Gase for the GMs job is just weak sauce.
Blame Gase for bad game strategy, lack of in game adjustments, and failing to motivate players.
Blame JD for the terrible draft and roster moves. That was literally his Job.
