Beale Street, Memphis (soul/blues): is more interesting imho 'cause it has lot of history and retains greater aspects of their 'roots' and I love Stax music. Lower Broadway, Nashville (generic, modern, 'pop c&w'): wall-to-wall honkies-yawn. To me Nashville seems to be somewhat 'Disneyfied' ..... half red-neck, half mini Vegas strip of the South. On the other hand check to see if Vandy (Univ.) has a band performing.
