This would be my album of choice should I ever get stoned. Not that I into that, of course.

Not only the best album by the Beach Boys but the album on which the best song Brian Wilson ever wrote appears. "God Only Knows," according to the prolific Wilson himself.

I'm a big Lizzy fan. I have Live and Dangerous as my 2nd best live album(my earlier post). My favorite studio album by them is a tough choice. Johnny the Fox, Black Rose, Thunder and Lightening, Jailbreak.........tough choices.

I’ve been waiting for that to catch some grief. Especially from Dierking.

I'm not a huge Queen fan but I think this is a worthy choice. [IMG]

Rap music might as well be sung in Egyptian to me. Not my thing at all. Although Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five did some righteous stuff back in the day.

So if you are naturally not attuned to rap one of the great starter albums is LL Cool J - Walking with a Panther.

The reason is that there is enough good music there alongside the rap to keep you going as you explore the genre seriously for the first time.

This would be a greatest per genre , imo. Certainly not in the same realm as some of the greatest albums of all time.

Lots of classic rock in here which is great. I'm going to add some rap to the mix. Watch the Throne by Kanye West and Jay-Z is one of the greatest rap albums I've ever listened to; only has two songs on it that I skip.
