Not when you're talking millions of taxable dollars over years. Hill keeps more of his cash in FL than NY. Its that simple. More money is always better if money is the motivation.
Is the decision in already? Dolphins over the Jets?? edit: Just saw it come across the ticker... No surprise given all the factors.
it's not as important to players as you think. they make so much many of them are happier choosing where they want to be. For our prospective would you leave a job you really like to take a 10% raise at a job you don't like? some will, most wouldn't. players are people too and money doesn't buy happiness
Dude, they offered a better deal and a long term extension. He picked Miami. He lives and trains in Miami.
Oh well, back to the salt mines... JD now pretty much has to draft a WR either with the 4th or 10th. If he goes the bargain basement route again, the Tristate media and fanbase will never forgive him. Now JD's seat is starting to get just a wee bit warmer. Lets see what he comes up with before we hang him shall we?
They have to take a WR at 10 and sign a depth veteran guy like they did with Cole last year. I'd personally call Seattle and offer 10 + next year's 2nd for Metcalf but what do I know?
For the bitching here. Our offer was accepted but the player chose Miami. He'll see a lot more of that 120million in Miami than he would in NY. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
30 million a year. Wow. I am really impressed by how all in JD is in trying to give the CS and ZW the tools they need to be successful this year. I am expecting us to draft two WRs this year. One who is explosive and can put pressure on the DL like Hill and Moore. How much does the Phins signing Hill change our draft. Will we consider Gardner or draft a FS in round 2?
Judging by Miami's offer, I bet JD probably offered 35.38, 117, and 2023 6th round pick. I don't even think he offered the 10th pick.
