I see the needs in this order:

    1. tie Topflight WR and Topflight Edge prospect - either our two 1st round picks or #4 (Edge) and #35 (WR)
    3. FS (2nd round - one of Hill, Brisker and Cine)
    4. RB - 4th or 5th round (J. Ford, T. Allgeier, T. Badie, R. White, J. Cook, P. Strong, H. Haskin, A. Smith)
    5. DT - somewhere in rounds 1-3 (Wyatt or Jones?)
    6. LB - round 3 or 4 (Dean, Lloyd, Muma, C. Harris, or Brandon Smith)
    7. OL depth - round 4 or 5 (Strange, Lindstrom)
    8. TE - round 3, 4 or 5 (Ruckert, Otton, or Woods)

I don't think we need another CB. Between Reed and Hall, they had a ton of PDs last season, and we have Echols, and Dunn. Gardner is a great prospect, as is Hamilton, but I don't think that we should take either.

The OL depth could be of greater concern to the Jets, so that could happen in round 2-3 with someone like Parham or Jurgens

Ideally, we either get KT or J. Johnson at #4 and G. Wilson at #10 (although this grieves me)

Our 4 top draft needs, all should be addressed with our Rd 1 & 2 picks (not that they will be, read last paragraph).

    No particular order:

Edge: Jet's haven't had a real threat since John Abraham. I think it will be addressed in Rd 1 (Jermaine Johnson would be my choice). Not a Thib fan, I believe the Jet's Front Office may have some concerns to pick him at #4, if he falls to #10 I might be OK with it, but still believe he has some red flags.

WR: Jet's might wait till Rd 2 and look at Christian Watson or Jahan Dotson (some think he's a E. Moore clone). If we pick a Rd 1 WR, London should be the choice. Living in Buckeye Country, I believe Olave was the best OSU receiver, Wilson is good, but I project Olave to be the better pro, I doubt the Jet's would draft Olave @ #10. If the Jet's trade down in Rd 1, Olave would be an excellent choice, in the mid teens.

DT: I believe we need to add a DT, most likely Rd 2, I'm on the Devonte Wyatt train, he may not make it out of Rd 1. Watching Georgia's defense, with all their great prospects, Wyatt really stood out. We are thin on the DL, especially with how teams rotate their lineman.

OT: We lack serious depth and our 2020 1st rounder needs to stay healthy and be in shape. Never loved the Becton pick, I don't like 370+ OT's. I'm rooting for him, just need a back-up plan. Quality of OTs drop after Rd 1.

JD may address BPA . Corner and Safety may not be an urgent need, he could draft Sauce or Hamilton. I lean more to Sauce, I feel he's a Saleh type player. I really like Hall, but he needs to be more of a playmaker ball hawk. Sauce and Hamilton have all pro potential, something JD may look at. Remember, Saleh saying at the end of the season, "our Corners need to make more plays (Int's) on the ball".

After free agency a wide reciever in the draft is a must, these are how my top 4 picks would go circumstances allowing: 4. Edge 10. WR 35. OL 38. WR what do you guys think?

I agree with your needs, just can't say you're drafting a position at a specific pick when you don't know who's going to be available.

This is how I see our priorities. We have 9 picks and in a perfect world it would play out like this:

    1. Edge
    2. WR
    3. LB
    4. CB
    5. DT
    6. S
    7. C
    8. OT
    9. TE

I think o line is still a need. I like the group we have but it meeds more depth and talent. I think oline would be number 3.

Really? Our OL looks solid as long as Becton makes a comeback.

    Becton - AVT - McGovern - Tomlinson - Fant

To me that looks really good. I think we just draft a few development OL later in the draft to learn and add depth.

Becton, has shown to be injury prone, and not trustworthy in that department. We need another solid T and G..
To make us feel safer. Our guys aren't staying healthy for some reason across the board.

Love it. Top four no particular order. Best player at each choice. You got my vote.

Fant, tomlinson and mcgovern, aren't long term solutions. I like them all but 1-3-years left for each, in my opinion. I love becton but hewas out last year so that's an unknown too. We also lost morgan moses. I like edoga too, i think he can be good depth and good on the field at times but he isn't great. I think another high value olinemen for depth and playing is a must early in the draft. We have to protect zach.

I don't think the Jets will draft two WRs early, and maybe not at all, but I'd be happy if they did.

I agree with WW85 that the Jets will probably take an Edge, WR, OL (swing OT), and DT, and that they could go with Sauce or Hamilton.

Part of me hopes that we don't take Hamilton, as I think we can get a very good S in round 2 (Hill, Brisker, Cine). I could easily be wrong, however, and Hamilton could be the very player we should take and could ultimately help us the most, so I mostly just want JD to take the RIGHT players, i.e. those who will be the best players, the best scheme fits, and who will do the most to turn us into a championship team.

That said, I hope those 4 players will be Jermaine Johnson, Devonte Wyatt, Christian Watson, and either Trevor Penning/Bernhard Raimann or Daxon Hill/Jaquan Brisker/Lewis Cine. I think those 5 positions are our biggest needs, so addressing 4 of them early would be wise, and I think all of these players are great prospects, great scheme fits, and could help our team immensely.

Based off what reports are saying, I think it's more likely that LB would be a lot farther down that list, but otherwise I agree.

Possibly. I just feel that is was such a weak spot for us.

I agree we need to protect ZW. My point is that I think we can with the guys we have this year. We have so many holes where we need starters out of this class. We don’t have the luxury of drafting a depth player early with all the holes we have on our squad. Our top 4 picks need to be immediate starters period.

Also, People sometimes totally underestimate how much a good defense can help the QB by keeping the score manageable. Worst thing you can do to a rookie is put him in a big hole with a porous defense.

Definitely! A good D (hard to get any worse) keeps us in games when it comes to time of possession and field position. We got pretty far with Rex doing exactly that with Sanchez at QB.

This list might look a little different, but I'm also factoring in depth, which bumps WR, DT and OT quite a bit.

    1. WR
    2. DT
    3. OT
    4. S
    5. Edge
    6. LB
    7. CB
    8. RB
    9. C
    10. G

edge, WR, and DT are the 3 biggest needs for sure. I'm assuming we get all 3 of those positions within our 1st 4 picks.
secondary needs would probably be S, LBer, RB, and o-line depth.

a lot of our draft will depend on what happens with the top 3 picks
