https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prelu...ament approved the decree,a period of 30 days.

March 16, 2021. The largest NATO exercises in decades Defender Europe 2021.

Nothing you are hearing out of the rightwing echo chamber at this point is correct. It is all slanted against the administration. That's because political warfare has become the norm in the USA. We've forgotten that politics stops at the edge of the water.

It has nothing to do with right wing anything. How exactly do those exercises help Ukraine when the 25 other nations involved won’t jump into the battlefield?

You know what doesn’t help them? Stuff like this over fear from our current leaders.

The exercises helped because they demonstrated to Russia that expanding the battlefield is a very bad idea.

The other 25 nations won't jump into the battlefield because it is a very bad idea to jump into the battlefield without knowing exactly what you are getting into.

That may be the dumbest thing you've ever said on here.

And it's not a short list.

Was that when Biden said a "minor incursion" was ok?

There is no way it was 100% his fault. You can hate him, and put a lot of blame on him but to act like he just woke up one morning and decided to invade is 100% not true. He has been asking NATO to not expand for decades. He has been saying it was a security concern for decades (Look at what NATO did to Libya). He stayed calm and patient while NATO went further and further. He finally said enough is enough and decided to do what he needed to do to address the huge security concern that he has been very vocal about for decades that NATO has completely ignored. Russia is a country, it doesn't need to do what NATO wants at the end of the day. The attitude that everyone needs to bow to NATO is both flawed and extremely dangerous.

He doesn’t get to decide the fate of Ukraine if it’s not a part of Russia. The Ukrainian people should, and they wanted to be part of the eu. I don’t care about what he wanted for another country. It doesn’t matter what he has wanted or asked.

If the published terms to end this are really his terms the only thing I would add is that Ukraine must be allowed to join the EU. No to NATO but yes to EU gives Ukraine a much better economic position where it can really be a bridge between Russia and the rest of Europe. Allowing Ukraine to join the EU would be more valuable than any reparations pact they might otherwise agree too.

Ukraine could agree not to join any EU military pacts/alliances.

China would probably pressure Russia to allow that concession if it would end the war in Ukraine. The war bothers China for three reasons right now. First, China was Ukraine's biggest trade partner and cheap Ukrainian wheat and other commodities helped boost the Chinese economy. Right now the Chinese economy can use all the help it can get. Second, China has always had issue with the violation of international borders. The Russian invasion forced the Chinese into a position of cognitive dissonance on an issue central to their entire foreign policy. Third, the performance of Ukraine's out-gunned, out-manned defense forces has to be bothering China in a big way. Ukraine as an example for defenders of Taiwan is undoubtedly an image the Chinese want to fade from view and fade as quickly as possible.

Of course the previous president which I should not name clearly helped to get a good relation with China. I still have vague memories of the Wuhan Flu.

China's game here and one they have been playing very well is to offer verbal support to Russia but not material support.

If they keep doing that the US will be just fine with the arrangement.

Which 11 million was that again?

    Iraq had 268k-295k from 2003-2019.

Now exactly where does the bulk of that 11M number come from?

Because I think it is more horseshit of the type spewed all over the place by the Russian propaganda machine.

"The top priorities now are to continue dialogue and negotiations, avoid civilian casualties, prevent a humanitarian crisis, cease fighting and end the war as soon as possible..."

    This should be our position.
