Well, look at Bless Austins PFF stats his first year and where is he now? My opinion is teams did not game plan against him and he never followed a #1 receiver around. One also has to consider the opportunity cost for signing him--who else could we have signed at 3/33? Was this money well spent in the entirety?
Hawks fans not happy... https://seahawks.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=178985&sid=f821bc70119222c3c5fde76bd18b0b32
There are stats listed earlier in the thread that suggests he is a lot better than our other guys. 2 thumbs down is a bit, okay, a lot on the harsh side.
CB is still an option at 10... for 2 reasons. 1- It's a passing league and you can never have too many cover CB's. 2- Hall, if he continues to improve, can be a legit future CB1 and 2023 is the last year of his contract. He could be wanting big bucks to re-sign. Drafting a CB at 10 this year, doesn't force our hand in overpaying for Hall, if he goes that route.
he's under contract this year and next year, if we don't ring him back, we can address a CB 2 years from now. it is a passing league which is why you need pressure from the front 4. d-line is more important of a need
Coaching staff doesn’t like Hall as much as fans do. They’re saying he’ll need to compete with Echols and Dunn (yes I’m serious) for the cb2 spot
I hope 33 million isn't the going rate for a nickel. But it has narrowed down the first round draft strategy a little more. Wide receiver, interior offensive lineman, and tackle
Never heard that the coaching staff doesn't like Hall. I thought Hall played well for the Jets. I know they were high on Dunn when they signed him as a UDFA. I can see Dunn and Echols play nickel but what happens if they take Sauce Gardner at #4. He and Travon Walker are moving up.
