i agree with all the people on hanks side, hes been stellar this season. Chad Jackson is a rookie who has never played a playoff game while Poteat is an ex-pat..we got the edge on this matchup

Poteat is a nice story, but if he doesn't get a lot of help Brady will destroy him. There's a reason he hasn't stuck in the NFL. He's a #4, or emergency #3 CB at best. That said, the Pats would like to have him. They needed a roster spot and dropped him. Likley the Jts will do the same next season when guys come off IR.

Trust him against Jackson? Maybe, but I think he loses that matchup. It will only take once for Jackson to be gone. If the Pats go 4 or 5 wide early, I guarantee Brady will target that matchup every time.

Poteat against Brady? Game, set, match.

Honestly, the idea that a Patriots fan would want to come around here and make bold statements about what the New England receivers are going to do just doesnt make sense to me. Pick almost any other part of the team, and itll be hard for anybody to argue with it... great quarterback, great halfbacks (Maroney is a definete star), great line, solid overall defense. Youve got all of that. Why would you want to start a conversation about what is, without a shadow of a doubt, a crappy group of pass catchers?

Ben Watson scares the crap out of me as a pass catcher, but my understanding is that A, hes injured, and B, hes falling out of favor because he cant or wont block, either way my impression has been that he wont be much of a factor come sunday afternoon. Nobody else is even really worth thinking about when planning for this game, except as being the X in the play that Brady will throw to. Jackson has physical tools, but hasnt done jack crap as an NFL receiver, and I highly doubt that hell pick wild card weekend of his rookie season to come out of his shell. Other than potentially Watson, there isnt a single difference maker in that passing game other than the guy throwing the ball.

Honestly I'm way more concerned about the TEs than the WRs.

That makes it all the more remarkable that Brady has 26 td's. Penny, with his superior receivers, had 17 td's. I agree that the recievers don't scare anybody, but it doesn't seem to stop the scoring for some reason. I agree that Caldwell is one of the weakest #1's in the league. So what? The job gets done.

All it will take for Jackson to be successful against Poteat is to run by him. No way Hank is staying within 3 steps of him. All that takes is speed, which Jackson has in abundance. He doesn't even have to catch it. Drop a few downfield and Rhodes & co will have to back off the LOS.

I won't even ask for any CB turnovers, as long as they knock down passes and tackle well, I'm fine.

That's true, but Reche Caldwell is really coming into his own with Brady as his QB.
