Seems the Oil industry is taking advantage of the Ukrainian situation. They're raising prices astronomically without real cause as Russia isn't the sole provider of crude available to the US. Nobody is bringing up the price gouging but in turn, are trying to blame Biden as if he controls the price of crude oil. And before it comes up, the pipeline Biden stopped would be carrying crude for foreign sale, not American consumption.

Big Oil has the perfect patsy. An unpopular POTUS to take the blame for their taking advantage of the situation.

Post some pics of Prices in your areas.. We're at $4.45 here in Central PA for 87oct.

    LMAO price gouging

    Please.......learn economics

Are the food prices going up because of price gouging too?!?

Was it Russia fault that gas was going up in price the past year long before any talks of war started too?? Price gouging.......what a complete joke.

Holy shit, for once I agree with you.

To be clear, oil companies always try to maximize profits. That prices were lower before is due to factors that made it so higher prices would make them less profits. Those factors have changed, so they're raising prices now.

Coming fromsomeone that was once in the business.

You have to understand when prices rise so quickly, for the small station owner
It is not about what you paid for the gas in the ground.
You need to be concerned for paying for the next tank load.
A gas tanker is 12,000 gallons , a .50 cent increase since your last load would required an extra $6000 to pay for.
Most service stations are making pennies on the gallon.

Heres a hint Cman.......remember all that stimulus that was pushed into the economy back in 2020? Yeah.

Everyone got $3000, yet im almost pretty sure 90% of peoples cost of living is up more than $3000 this year because of rent, gas, food prices, due to inflation.

so, is it true that a lot of stations purposely don’t put receipt paper in the pumps so you come in and buy blueberry squishies?

What Biden needs to do is convince the American people that higher gas prices are a worthwhile price to pay for maintaining the West's integrity on the world stage. Also immediately start working on ways to ensure that those most vulnerable to higher gas prices are helped by those less vulnerable (for instance, given that I can afford it, I'd be perfectly willing to pay the equivalent of several dollars a gallon so others are supported). And if the Republicans block this to convince the American people that the Republicans are unpatriotic. The Greatest Generation did this last century, we're capable of doing it again.

I'm talking about gas prices and the potential for them to go significantly higher because of Russia, not general inflation levels. But yes, the Fed was reckless and probably corrupted too.

Everything wears off, as will the people being willing to pay astronomical prices for the benefit of another country. It’s just the way it is, but the election chances will take a hit if they don’t get prices down.

Please.. go to the f'n gas station and watch the price shoot up for no reason other than opportunity. This is nothing more than Oil companies taking advantage. You act like Putin is bombing the Saudi Oil fields. OPEC sets the price per barrel of oil they sell. How much crude do we import from Mother Russia?

Gas is legitimately $5.50+ per gallon where I am. Absolute insanity.

    Inflation+Russia instability combo.
