Who are the Wide Receivers that you would target in free agency if you were Joe Douglas?

Although he is NOT a WR1, I do think it makes sense for the Jets to look Christian Kirk's way. He is young and would definitely be a guy that could play all the WR positions.

I included a video here with 4 other names as well. Looking forward to hearing what you guys/gals have to say.

I’m not down with ARob as I feel his best days are behind him and that doesn’t fit our young core. Godwins injury history is troubling as well. Tough to give him a long term deal. Adams I believe will get tagged.

Kirk is intriguing as he fits the mold of FA’s that JD has shown to covet. Coming off his rookie deal that is in his prime. The only thing is he is similar to Moore in his size and playing style so I’m not sure he’s a great fit.

I personally don’t think JD will address the WR position in FA with a big splash. He might pick up a Keenan Cole type again on a 1 year deal. I think he uses draft capital on that position and uses free agency to address the holes on D.

Don’t go into free agency thinking we are signing a wr1. There’s not 1 and we already have one ,Moore. Unless we make a big splash, Cooper,Ridley,Adams it’s going to be a few 3-5 guys and add another potential wr1 in the draft.

What do you think of Michael Gallup? He seems to have a lot of upside with the potential to be a number 1 along with the possibility of buying cheap because of the injury.

This can’t be serious. Man, I hope the jets organization thinks the way you do. Don’t need to sign a top flight wr because you already have one LOL

I think it’ll be tough for the jets to sign any of the big name wr free agents. Those players will have their options of great qbs to play for, and they won’t pick the jets. I think the jets should probably spend high on other positions and for wr either trade or draft high.

I think we definitely need to sign a depth-type FA. I'd love to add DJ Chark, but he's too good and would probably cost too much to just sit on the bench. If they can sign him to a reasonable deal, however.... Chris Godwin could be a great add, but doubt that will happen. I don't think Mike Williams, Davante Adams, Christian Kirk, Odell Beckam Jr., or JuJu Smith-Schuster, will either.

I'm totally guessing, but Cedric Wilson could be a possibility as could Gallup, Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scandlin, and DeMarcus Robinson. Wilson, Gallup, Lazard, and Valdes-Scandling because their teams are in cap hell. Maybe Tre'Quan Smith of the Saints for the same reason.

Me personally, we desperately need a TRUE #1...some of the interesting ones to me are:
    Mike Williams
    Christian Kirk
    Michael Gallup
    Cedric Wilson
    Davonte Adams

FWIW, Jets X-Factor has Gage, Valdes Scantling, and Humphries as under the radar targets.

Dont really see the point of Gage or Humphries. They are right there with Elijah Moore & Braxton Berrios.

Valdes-Scantling is very intriguing because not too many guys are 6'4 and can run like him. Would be great to have a deep threat like him but he's going to want to take this opportunity to get his first/only real big contract. At least with Humphries, he's already gotten that

not sure how you define true number 1s but some of those guys are not to me. And work better as #2s but that’s just my opinion

No, I was just pointing out some of the available options....to me Adams is the only true # 1 the other would continue to provide good depth

27 years old right now. 4 years 16-17 a year? Similar to what A Rob would command on the market. Cooper is such an amazing route runner and technician. Dude would be an A+ get for us.
