There is more than one rumor floating around the Jets are looking to add a third first round pick - basically trade back up. I wonder how this would all work out especially if they trade down from #10. My gut is they are targeting Penning the OT they absolutely loved at the Senior Bowl but realize he can be had probably after #10. Him and a big WR is my guess the objects of their maneuvering. I think they stay at #4 and take EDGE and if both those two guys are gone - that’s why it gets interesting. This is going to be quite the draft this year…
If they could get KT at #4, and then trade down with Philly and get #15 and #16 and then get Burks and Penning, I would be ecstatic! That would be a HR regardless of who else JD added. I'm against a trade up, and hope that JD isn't strongly considering that. I would much rather trade down and get an additional 1st. If he had to trade up to get both Burks and Penning, it wouldn't be nearly as exciting to me. Burning one of our 2nds and our 3rd or both of our 2nds would piss me off. I think that would be a mistake. That would be too aggressive.
