    Paragraph 1 is bullshit

Paragraph 2- is not relevant, Br4d brought up Mayfield, I would prefer Garapollo myself, thought I made that clear. Ultimately though- your plan, giving the job to the worst QB in the league with no competition, has failed here multiple times

It's not bullshit. Every QB has tried to evade a sack and failed. The fact that you think every sack Wilson takes is him running "backwards like an idiot" is idiotic. Oh, he's too short, right? But you want a guy that's the same height (or shorter.)

I never said I didn't want competition. What I did say is that the Jets aren't going to make Wilson compete in camp just like Jax won't make TL compete. I also think it's beyond stupid to trade assets for Garapollo or Mayfield when those two guys have proven they can't get their team over the hump.

So again, feel free to die on that hill. You're doing an excellent job. Kudos.

well you’ve “quit” and returned multiple times so maybe it’s just hyperbole but I just don’t understand what Wilson has done to earn this level of faith

So should they bring in competition for Wilson or not?

Avoiding a sack is not idiotic- running backwards without pressure, like Wilson does, is.

I merely suspected he was doing it because he couldn’t see over the line but if that’s not the case then he is just an idiot because I can’t imagine that was ever coached

you’re reasoning and logic is getting worse as you keep going lol. I said that to your argument of Wilson running backwards as a rookie lol same thing most rookie Qbs do with a bad Oline like he’s the only one. While you still trying to tell us why Baker would be a good fit on a team with drastically less talent and the stats that show he’s horrible four years into the league haha. Keep going tho lmaoooo I’m getting good laughs out of this!

it seems like if it was the “same thing as most rookie QBs do” there would be multiple examples you could point to

We are getting off track here. This isnt a debate about Wilson and running backwards. It's you wanting to trade draft picks to bring in either Baker Mayfield or Jimmy G to compete with Wilson.

I'd have an easier time accepting the idea of signing a free agent QB to compete with him, but trading draft picks for either of those two mediocre QBs is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard. How does that even make sense? You think Jimmy G is taking us to the promised land?? Jesus, Dude. And to waste draft capital on him. Good Lord.

The team that has had Garoppolo for the last 5 years traded up for a QB last year. That's says a lot.

It doesn't matter what I want or think. The Jets are not making him complete in camp. My stance is that of he doesn't finish the year with at least an 85 passer rating then they should start making plans for a new QB. Does that answer your question? He gets 2022 to prove himself.

I asked you a question that you didn't answer. Which draft picks are you trading for Jimmy G? The guy SF can't wait to show the door. I'm all ears. This should be good.

I’ll answer the same way you did. It doesn’t matter what I think it would take to acquire Jimmy G, the Jets aren’t going to even try

You don't draft a guy #1, have him start the entire first year, and then have him compete for the job in year 2. Since the Jets started him for the entire year, I do not want an open competition in training camp. Question answered. Your turn.

    Gotcha.

I punched my "true fan" card over 30 years ago so I'll be a Jets fan until either I or they are gone. After the 2015 debacle I learned how to tune them out, though.

I can't tune them out. I've wished I could many, many times. I'm an all or nothing type guy when it comes to being a fan.
