RIP Clark Gillies

    Clark Gillies, one of the metro areas greatest athletes passed yesterday at the age of 67.

    I'm not an Islanders fan but I got to see a lot of Gillies on the #1 line of the Islanders in the playoffs.

    Gordie Howe, Clarke Gillies, Mark Messier. The guys that were excellent scorers and also enforcers for the great players they played alongside.

    My absolute favorite Islander as a kid growing up.

    On a line with Mike bossy and Bryan trottier. That really shouldn’t be fair.

    RIP Clarky... was a beast of a player and a good guy all around.
