Not so sure this Dr. Brad is the right guy for the job. Joe Douglas needs to take a long lard look at how this department goes about doing their jobs. Honestly, given how bad the injuries have been the last 4 to 5 years there needs to be change even if it's just for the sake of change. The amount of injuries this team suffers is completely unacceptable

Part of the problem is the Jets are a bad team. Players are more likely to beg off playing with an injury if their return means nothing in terms of the Jets being competitive or not.

Part of the problem is the Jets give out a lot of guaranteed money because they sign a lot of free agents. Players are more likely to beg off playing with an injury if their money is guaranteed for next season or a lot of it has already been realized in the form of a bonus already.

Part of the problem is that younger players who don't know any better tend to look at the leading players on the team and emulate their behavior even when the overall result might be very bad for the younger guy in question.

However Parcells had it right when he said that injuries are a contagion and you really want injured guys kept away from the rest of the lockerroom so they can't spread the disease.
