Are you going to get off my dick any time soon or what? If you could, please provide the 2020 Senior Bowl attendees that were selected in the first round, fuckface.
Thats exactly what I said. The Senior Bowl is primarily for later rounds. Are you fucked up or something?
I said championship teams are built Thru gems found in later rounds…. It seems like you’re the one with reading comprehension issues. “Any idiot can find talent with a top 10 pick”: are you disagreeing with this statement? “Championship teams are build with gems found in later rounds”: are you disagreeing with this statement? If you have a point or a hot take, please make it.
The Lions were selected to coach the game back in 2020 under then-coach Matt Patricia. The Jets, meanwhile, haven't participated since 1979, when they were led by head coach Walt Michaels. Our first two picks that year? Marty Lyons and Mark Gastineau! Get your finger out Joe Douglas
What I’m disagreeing with is that it carries some big advantage that you think it does. Because if it did, the good teams in the NFL wouldn’t draft well and the same bad teams wouldn’t be coaching it every year and pissing mid round picks away routinely.
I see you’re under the impression everyone assesses and uses information in the same way. I come from the view that information has different power in different hands. Let’s agree to disagree and circle back in 3 & 10/11 months when we know if we picked anyone bc of a senior bowl impression and if they end up producing.
Texans just fired Culley, which they had probably already decided, accounting for why they passed on this.
It's a great opportunity to see how the seniors act around their peers. The value is less now that the draft has so many underclassmen in it but it's still a chance to see firsthand who is comfortable around their peers and who is not. All of that said, Rickey Williams was a total space cadet around people and he was still one of the best RB's to ever walk the planet.
Saleh & LeFleur (I think) were both on the 49ers coaching staff in 2019 when they worked with future 49ers 2nd round pick Deebo Samuel
I read the article but it looks like the 1st 2 eligible coaching staffs (sans Cinci who did it the year before) took the gig.
Coaching the Senior Bowl is a great advantage. Every team flies players in for pre-draft interviews, albeit less and less since Covid, but they aren't allowed to ask the player to hit the field and play some actual football right in front of them. The Senior Bowl is the only opportunity to do that. I'm actually surprised they still let NFL staffs coach it, you'd think a guy like Belichick would bitch about the advantage it gives other teams.
There's no real downside to this. More exposure we have to these guys before picks are made, the more likely we can make a decent assessment on them. Of course some idiot will have a shit time and then become a pro bowler but that will happen. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Great that they get a real close up look at a few guys who are really in the mix to drafted at a real position of need.
IMO so far the Jets have the best group of TEs, QBs, & WRs in the Sr. Bowl. Can't wait to see who they have on the OL and on D.
