Saw this on Twitter, figured we can see what you guys thought was the best play on the season. Listed the “top” 6 but there’s a few you guys may think of… OTHERS are… - Shaq Lawson’s pick vs Bengals - White to Cole’s insane one handed catch (didn’t count because…refs) vs Bengals - Wilson to Crowder to Berrios for a 1st down on 3rd and 15 Vs Dolphins
I was in the stands vs Bengals for White's masterpiece and in Carolina for Zach's 1st game. I adored the consistency he's developed as he's learned to play within the system. That said, Tennessee Zach will be the difference between the SOJ and the New Jets. When Zach learns when to use his talent, after the play breaks down, our fortunes change. That play gave Jet nation hope that this time will be different. That's the play.
Ironically, the recently cut Shaq Lawson INT against Burrow would be my vote. When and where that play happened changed the game in our favor. Also, being a little bias as Im 6'9 315lbs, so when big lineman making athletic INTs, that will always get my vote
Wilson to Davis was the most excited I’ve been during a Jets game in a long time. So that gets my vote.
I'd really prefer to pick a Wilson pass play as the best play, but that run was amazing. And not only did it result in a TD, it sent a message to the league that he can run and make things happen when he needs to. He's no Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, but showing that other dimension to his game will open things up for him and the offense going forward.
I know it wasn't a TD play, but that deflection INT by Shaq Lawson against the Bengals was an awesome play and possibly one of my favorites of the year, I really wanted White to get the dub that game for playing so well, and Lawson pretty much helped secure that!
the one I saw live (red zone) that i liked the most was... the feather pass to Cole(?) in OT , deep left... just such a nice touch pass that put us in FG position right away iirc
Corey Davis TD for me. I don't remember the last time a jets QB made a throw that made me say "wow" out loud
Gotta be the Zack to Davis toss b/c that's the Zack we desperately need him to be. THAT Zack led the Jets to a win over the future #1 AFC Seed in this year's POs. His 52 yard scamper was fun but was also the direct result of at least 2 defenders pulling up to avoid a late hit penalty. Zack was dead to rights early on in the run but survived by defender making a business decision to avoid a $15K fine despite the ribbing they took from their teammates for pulling up on a good hit of a QB
