Having 3 and 6 would be huge! If I'm guessing, I think our picks will end up where they currently are, at 4 and 7, but we'll know on Sunday.
Hey my good friend N.. How are you since the Saints game? There is already a thread about this. Mind if I merged those?
Glad that the Cardinals and Rams both play games for the division with massive implications for getting the possible 2 seed. They both play at the same time too so I imagine they’ll go full tilt.
I'm doing well! How are you and your rowdy friends from Brooklyn?? Sure thing, I didn't even see the other thread!
Assuming the Jets lose it would be amazing if Houston won. Swapping #3 and #4 puts the Jets in a great trade position if a QB hungry team (Carolina? Washington?) wanted to jump over Houston sitting at #4.
I am not sure if a QB would go that high, but what I am thinking is that having a 3d pick might give us a chance at top two edge rusher: Hutch or Kayvon. Detroit is probably taking Edge since they got Sewel last time, but Jags might want to protect TL. That opens up a possibility to get #1 overall pick in the draft via relatively inexpensive trade or if Jags really like Evan Neal, they may just take him and Kayvon could fall to us. With 4th pick it is a bit problematic, since Houston can snag Neal and Jags might not want to go to 4th. That might be a pipe dream though as Texans are probably not beating Titans. Trade down for someone to get a QB may be a possibility with the second pick though. Really hoping Seattle will lose to Arizona to make that pick as attractive as possible.
I know what you mean but pass rusher seems to be one of those positions where players seem to disappoint more often than not - if there was someone like Bosa available then I would be all for it (so glad we won that meaningless game that cost us that pick) but I just keep seeing lots of issues being flagged in relation to the top edge prospects this year
Open Door # 1 and by hook or by crook you end up with 2 top 10 picks Open door # 2 and it's Joe Douglas sitting there with the phone to his ear on Draft Day A Blessing or a Curse ???
I think realistically that's the best case scenario as Seattle is a very live dog against Arizona, and can bring our pick to 10/11.
Yeah, if Seattle wins vs Arizona on Sunday, that pick could go into a free fall. I think best case scenario if Seattle does win on Sunday is that pick will only fall to 9th but we'd need a lot to go our way for that to happen. We really need Seattle to lose this week.
I would think so because they're still in contention to win the NFC West and get a home game in the Wild Card. If the Cardinals win and the 49ers beat the Rams, the Cardinals would be the NFC West Champs and end as the 3rd seed. There's even a chance they get up to the 2 seed in the NFC if all the above happens and the Panthers beat the Bucs.
Beating the Bills in a game where they need to win would be so much more significant than a slightly higher pick. Besides, it's always better when the Jets pick whoever falls to them rather than try to choose a specific player
