Of course Joe was at that game. I'm surprised that I wasn't.

JB had too much influence about how Jet fans were feeling. I think he even influenced management. When he welcomed Brett Favre I know he was off the edge.

We were a Super Bowl contender with Favre until he injured his throwing arm. Benigno is the best Jets fan in team history, imho.

Benigno is a must-listen after a bad Jets loss. He's the most hilarious, full of despair Jets fan around. 60 years of supporting a loser will do that to you.

He was way too based in reality to keep the homers happy.

I have many memories of attending a bad home Jets loss, then later staying awake to midnight just so I could turn the radio on to see just HOW bad the loss was, as per Joe Benigno. Then, realizing the loss was worse than I thought once Joe broke down the aspects I hadn't considered, I had difficulty sleeping that night. My wife would ask "why do you DO that???" And, the answer was simple. "Because I have to"

I always appreciated Joe, but he & Evan combined to just be way too dull and whiney in the last couple years they were together to want to listen for more than a couple minutes.
