Amen. We lost in the last minute to a team that won the super bowl last year.

Just kick the FG. That was the worst decision. Fuck the rest.

Jets are not expected to win so the Jets don’t win. Lovable losers

You expected them to beat the super bowl champs today, while we have most of our offensive weapons out? And we lost Fant and Carter early on.

Oh, since I know you don't watch the games, MC went out early so don't go looking at the stat line and start complaining Wilson didn't find him in the passing game.

I'm really happy with the team. Zach performed well, the oline performed well, we lost to a master of the field. The guys played hard. We maintain a high draft position. All good things.

What was clear from this game is we really really need a pass rush and Safties.

I also want to give props to JD for our o-line. We were playing our 2nd string center and third string left tackle and the o-line played well (especially in the run game).

You make it sound like I have not sat down in front of the tv for 40 years every Sunday watching this team.

Wins are the only way that shows the team is moving in the right direction.

If Saleh went for the FG I can guarantee you Arians plays for the tie on the road with so much at steak for his team, and tries to win it in OT.

When the young players see results in the win column, even against the defending SB champions, those are the moments that change the culture of an organization and makes them feel like they belong.

Not draft position or moral victories.

All of this is why my first post in this thread started with “I preferred a win”. But this isn’t black or white. Not one or the other. You can lose and also be aware that a lot of good came from it.

yes I expected them to win.

I expected them to win when they were winning by 2 TDs late in the 3rd quarter and when they had the ball in scoring position and the lead with 2 mins left

you expected them to lose there though

Before winning is expected, winning has to be learned. It was an embarrassing loss today because of that reason.

Saleh didn’t think his defense could stop Brady, they didn’t
LaFleur didn’t trust his QB to throw it with the game on the line, so they didn’t

I did. That's why I cashed out my bet and won $81.

Did you expect them to win BEFORE the game? That was my question.

I’m actually stunned that no one here has pissed and moaned about Echols getting the ball he picked off signed by Brady post game.

Arians playing for the tie would have been the right decision because the Bucs were likely to win in overtime. Saleh playing for the tie would have been the wrong decision for the same reason. If you're the worse team, you want it to come down to a single play, not a bunch of plays where the law of averages favors the better team.

Yeah Saleh was right. I don’t think anyone thought we were stopping them, and we didn’t.

I hear what you're saying, and you have a point, as there will be other good players we want, but let's say that the unthinkable happens, we win another game, and then Hutchinson drops to #4. We miss him. We probably already have, but it's not written in stone yet. Another win and it would be. In addition, what if JD really wants Neal, and Neal goes at #4, but because we won today, whoever wound up #4 took him instead. We could still have missed out on the WR, OL, or S that the team really needs if we had won today. It's not just limited to the DEs, and it's not just limited to the 1st round. That's the big thing that you guys who dismiss draft position can't get through your thick heads, is that we can miss out on players we want and need in every single round of the draft. You act like there's an unlimited supply in every draft of great players at every position, and that simply is not the case.

I agree that at some point we definitely have to start winning and stop caring about draft position. I think that point comes next season. With another strong offseason, Zach, the other rookies and young players have a year's experience in the systems, and the CS has a year's experience in their jobs and working together. Next season everything should start coming together. The better offseason and the more holes we fill, the better things will come together and the greater our chances of winning next season.

No, we won't. That's absurd. Please stop with the hyperbole. In a lost season another win is meaningless, particularly when a number of the players on the team right now may not even be on the team next season. With Zach and the young players learning and improving and having a year's experience, with the CS learning and improving and having a year's experience and with another strong offseason, we should be poised to start winning next season. If we had already started winning, and had 7+ wins this season, then I'd agree that the win was more important than draft position, but not with just 4 wins. You're trying to put the cart before the horse, and that makes no sense imo.

Wins are NOT the only way that shows the team is moving in the right direction. Today's game clearly shows that the team is moving in the right direction. Earlier in the year, the Jets would have been blown out by the Bucs and today, they came very close to winning and should have won. The team isn't going to win next season just because they beat the Bucs today. They need to add the right talent filling more holes to really take the next step and start winning next season. You're being ridiculous!

Why should any adult be pissed at this? Hate Brady all you want but the man is the GOAT and if you did pickoff one of his passes, that's something to hang your hat on if not tell your kids about. That is called "respect".

It's kind of useless without a Brady factor too.
