I don't think he would've gotten in. And then he would've been tackled in the field of play, forcing the Jags to spike the ball and lose first and goal.
I thought it was a fun game. I've been tuning the Jets out for weeks but since it was Christmas and had nothing to do, I watched the whole game. I tried to forget that it was a 3-win team vs. a 2-win team and just enjoy the game for once. Both teams made some pretty bad mistakes, it was clear they would've both lost if they were playing someone good but I did enjoy the kickoff return, the wacky run play, and 2 linemen scoring TDs
Felt Pinnock played well at safety. Apparently he’d been getting some looks there the past 4-5 weeks in practice.
I was confused about which play ya'll were talking about but I think I got it now. You are right, I dont think he would've gotten in. The big screw-up they had was after the pass to Jones that was nearly picked. They got the ball at the 1 yard line and they spike it to make it 4th down? That was stupid. An experienced QB rushes his team to the line and takes a quick shot at the end zone. Jags probably win if he did because the Jets were not set and had some strange personnel out there
In this era 200yds is pedestrian, 100yds is Trent Dilfer.... the best thing today was it looked like he cut down on mistakes. We need that to continue, let's see what happens against the TB and Buffalo pass defense.
It is going to be a rough go. All I repeat all of the Jets starting receivers are out. I am not sure who is back on the o-line but if Mcgovern, Moses and the Doc are out it will be rough going. With our defense I can see the Bills and TB putting up 40+.
Today was a game we saw from Josh Allen in his rookie season. Very conservative passing and basically won the game with his legs. No, I'm not comparing Allen and Wilson because they are very different players but I think we saw the level of competition from Wilson this week that we haven't seen in previous weeks. Maybe it was the head to head with Trevor Lawrence or maybe he's just calming down a little but I didn't get the vibe of panic that I have been getting and it was a refreshing change. This is the season to trust your eyes and not the stats.
Bills will be playing to win in that final game because they can't clinch the division next week. Yes I agree they probably put up 40 and we saw the last win of the Jets 2021 season yesterday. oh well, 4 wins... that's doubling the win total! boo yah
Yes, these last two games could be brutal. I only hope that Wilson isn't hurt because these two teams are going to pin their ears back and unleash a brutal pass rush that would overwhelm the Jets OL even if they were at full strength, and then add (or subtract) to that the lack of any viable receiving options, the prudent thing would be to simply run the ball almost every play. This could be very ugly.
Lee was the worst. Guy was a total pussy when it came to tackling and got bullied out of plays all the time.
