Bah!!! What do you expect? That seems to be the fashionable prediction in the sports media...

I like our chances, and I also like that most count us out. That is nothing new and the Jets always do better in that role. Also,in the Playoffs with Brady and the Pats being 10-1,there really is no reason for them not to be seen as favorites.

Fine. Because how the team looks on paper means nothing. Pre-game anlysis is just for the sake of debate and guessing. All that counts is the men on the field and the sidelines.

Meh, that's not that bad really. I'd put our chances more around 30% only because if we play this game 10 times I think we win 3.

While we are on percentages lets say the road to the SB goes NE -> San Diego -> Baltimore

    I'd figure:

    NE - 30%
    SD - 35%
    Balt - 25%

So by my accounts we have a 2.63% chance of going to the SB.

Consequently, I have an 80% chance not to care about what ESPN says. Coincidence?

I thought ESPN folded last year.

I really like going into a game where no one thinks you can win (except ourselves, of course)...

Let's be honest guys...You gotta admit that it is hard for people to pick against the Pats and rightfully so. Brady 10-1 in the playoffs, never lost in Foxboro in the playoffs, Bill Belichick and the auora of the Patriots.

I mean, Jacksonville went 12-4 last year and most thought they could pull the upset and they got embarrassed 28-3. I say the Jets win close because they matchup well, but don't take it as a slap in the face when analysts take one of the best teams in the NFL the last 6 years.

ESPN also thought Dallas would beat Detroit last week, not allow 39 points in a loss.

As long as we can stop the run we have a chance. With stoping the run it will force Brady to throw and I think we can get to him just like last time we palyed them. Quite honestly, if we can't stop Dillon or Maroney will we lose.

The Jets have always gotten the short end of the stick with the media. I think now that we finally have a good coach that IS getting respect and if we win, people will start giving us the respect we deserve.

At the same time...I kind of like being the underdog. :)

That isn't ESPN picking the Pats. That is Accuscore, which is a computer program that takes statistics and predicts the outcome of games.

ESPN features Mel Kiper and they put Theismann and Kornheiser on MNF. Enough said.
