no guarantee KC COULD NOT have done an OSK and recovered and STILL won.. but... leaving 2 chip shot FGs on OFF the board// smfh
Generally I'm "pro" aggressive coaching / game planning.... but there's 2 times I'm always "take the points" (unless youre the mega underdog with barely a chance).... When you have yet to score, always take the 0 off the scoreboard..... and at the end of the half, especially when the other team starts off with the ball. Walk into the locker room with momentum, not defeat.... I only watched the 1st half, but I said to myself that theyd lose by 3 or 6. Wasnt that surprised when I saw the box score in the morning. So stupid.... and btw... fuck the term "analytics". Bad enough I have to hear that 5346 times everytime I watch baseball, now its polluting football "well analytics say..."
They abandoned your mentality in 2/3 of the scenarios. And I agree in both of them. “Analytics”that say that you’ll convert 7/10 is awesome. Except for the fact that this isn’t baseball and you’ll get maybe 10 chances in that scenario not 250 like baseball or basketball. Not to mention there are a variety of factors in the NFL that matter - how is your defense playing, what is the score/time left, how does the offensive line look, is your QB sharp, etc. Staley plays everything like a computer simulation and it shows.
Important stat - the 17-8 Bills lead over the Panthers at halftime is the first time an NFL game has had that score at the half. Brought to you by the Bureau of Totally Idiotic and Meaningless Statistics.
Saquon Barkley had the first lost fumble of his career after 791 touches in the first half. More to the point, yet another uninspiring game for him so far - 13 touches for 56 yards. Booker is actually their #1 back now, but they don't have the guts to admit it quite yet.
Will the Lions have another devastating loss after a 17-0 lead, or will they complete a shocking win over the Cardinals?
I can’t express to all of you guys, my brothers, how happy I get when Chase Claypool makes bad football plays.
Kyler Murray picked off and Goff immediately turns it into 6 points. Lions up 24-3 midway through the third quarter. Packers, Bucs, Cowboys, and especially Rams like that a lot.
Giants stopped on a QB sneak on 4th-and-1 from their own 29. No debates about analytics here - given how atrocious their offense is, the Giants really had no choice but to go for it.
