Can't wait to see this bumass on national TV again tonight. Wonder if his intro will claim that he's the best again
He can't possibly do anything more embarrassing than allow a team with a rookie QB to put 50+ on the scoreboard.
Well, I was fan of Jamal, but was happy with the return on the trade, and didn’t think he would work out long term here. If we signed him to deal he got with Seattle, wouldn’t have hated it. But with the haul and all that has transpired, couldn’t have worked out any better fir the jets!! For sure, every jet fan should be ecstatic! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This trade was a huge plus the day it was made. Jamal didn't want to be here. He has an ego that is completely out of control. He was demanding a huge contract at a position that does not warrant that kind of spending. Once we got a 1st back, let alone 2, we were golden.
They ain't happy in Seattle... On Wednesday Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was on SiriusXM radio with host Pat Kirwan. And during the interview, he said the Adams deal has been “a terrific trade for us.” Only two things can explain this comment. The first is that Carroll was being polite. The second is that he was having a senior moment — and thought he was still coaching the Jets. Second shoulder injury another reason to rank Jamal Adams trade among Seahawks’ worst deals https://www.seattletimes.com/sports...jamal-adams-trade-among-seahawks-worst-deals/
JD got (more than) two firsts for an ego-driven, one-dimensional safety who didn't want to be here and who then got a 17.5mil/yr deal. To say it was a great trade is a huge understatement.
Trading a first round pick would’ve been a bad deal but it would’ve made some sense for a team who thought they were SB contenders. Trading two? Sheesh. Adams has had a bad year and is an extreme dickhead at a position that needs the player to cause turnovers to be effective. But he was still a really good player when we traded him. He guarded tightends well, cause TFL’s and got sacks. And the Seahawks took him and tried to turn him into a deep third/half zone coverage safety. It’s mind blowing what they tried to do with him. It’s like they never saw him play. Great trade for us.
The second pick is key to this trade, Adams for AVT straight up not too bad a trade for either side…. But If Jets land great player with the pick this year. That could make it a steal for jets. If jets get it wrong and draft a complete bust, then the trade is pretty even. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My brother in law who is a big Seahawks fan (poor guy) would disagree with you. He would argue you need to thank the Seahawks GM Schneider, who must have been on some serious opioids when he made the deal. Based on the Jets history in the draft, I would hold off on declaring victory just yet. Jamal Adams 4 year 70 million contract and the draft choices given to the Jets may be the worst GM move in NFL history. This assumes the Jets make decent decisions from these draft picks.
That part. No One gonna bitch now about the move but the history of this team choking in the draft again, we won't know for a few more years.
