Well we've been talking and discussing it but when its crunch time on Sunday can our NYJ pull out the upset (oh yes it would be an upset) against Belichick, Brady, and the Patriots? My vote is we can. Will the darksiders outnumber the sunshiners? We shall see... :jets:
In our first game with the Pats, we didn't run the ball very well and lost by a TD. By our second meeting, we were running the ball better and won by a FG. We're now running the ball even better than we did in our second meeting with the Pats. Bottom line: Leon Washington and Cedric Houston get it done for us on Sunday. The Pats are banged up and we're not. Besides, Belichick is now complimenting Mangini, which means he's preparing himself and the press for the inevitable. Sleep well, Bill. We're comin' to Foxboro. Jets 23 Pats 17
I get the feelings we're gonna see about a dozen of these same threads, so I'm gonna sticky this one.
This will ensure more duplicate threads. I, for one, automatically skip the stickys at the top of the page. OK I didn't THIS time.
My prediction JETS 23- PATS 16 Why... because outside of one bad half we outplayed a very championship caliber football team. Below I will discuss in what I believed was the turning point in each game. 1st Game- PATS up 10-0 when the JETS get backed up in their territory. Ben Graham punts a beauty to about the 30 of the PATS. Unfortunately thats negated by a JETS false start, and Graham shanks his re kick to the JETS 35 yard line. If their was no penalty then chances are it is 10-0 at the half and not 17-0 in which case who knows what the outcome would of been. 2nd Game- The only reason why the score is as close as it was 17-14. Is because of a late Brady TD and a bullspit "roughing the passer" call on Hobson which led to a FG. If that is not called the PATS don't score at the end of the half and the JETS might have a 10 point lead going into half time.
Shocker!!! So far Patsies fans go with the Patsies and Jet fans go with the Jets!!!!!! Well lookin like the Jets win this Sunday if this board knows anything.
The Lord says vote for the Jets, or suffer the fire and damnation of hell. Seriously though, this team has just been making a lot of believers out of people this year. They really could do it, knock off the Pats. After that the sky is the limit. It could be a true Cinderella season for us.
Thus sayeth the Lord!!! I predicteth that Tom Brady will have an "accident," but not a real accident, a Tony Soprano kind of "accident."
That difficult schedule you guys played has prepared you for what. How many play off teams have you beat. Oh yea 1
Well, there's one of the sorrier measures of quality I've yet seen. Will you be strutting around over net punt yardage next?
I'm not so sure the Jets will win, but when the one victory over a playoff team is actually over the Patriots, your comment comes off as about as foolish as I can imagine.
