OK...now we are in the 2nd and 5th positions for the 2022 Draft...not bad !!

Are there any players that are "cant-misses" in 2022 ?
    I haven't heard any from the QBs, OL's, DL's, LB's, etc.

Last year you had Sewell...Lawrence....Pitts.....lots of names we all knew. I can't think of any cant-misses from Clemson, Alabama, OSU, etc. this year.

It's like the entire 2022 Draft is lacking any real clear winners. And not having any QB's worth taking Top 3/5 means the Jets might not be able to trade down.

It's hard to see the Jets doing worse than picking 6th and 13th. More likely they draft 3rd and 8th. Right now, they're ahead of that.

It won't last, especially since the Giants will probably lose tomorrow night, but in this moment the Jets possess the 2nd and 5th overall picks

We really have 6 more weeks of this? So glad they extended the season. Reality needs a Sim button so we can skip ahead to 2078 to win the Super Bowl.

yeah its not a great draft to have high picks - some good WR but overall not looking like a classic (and no top tier QB prospects as yet)

This draft looks to be very good for Jets needs. Sure it likely doesn’t have that elite QB prospect which severely decreases the chances of a trade down for bounty situation.

For the first time in forever the Jets offense is in better shape than the defense. Well this draft is going to have defense in abundance on all 3 levels early and often throughout the draft.

Hutchinson & Hamilton at 2 & 5? Going to be so many interesting combos if Jets get two top 5 picks.

I don’t like Tankathons mock draft - has the Jets going Stingley and Hamilton. The Jets need a pass rusher with one of those picks.

Not to mention Stingley is an awful injury waiting to happen. Reminds me of Dee Milliner part 2. Would be nice to Lions miraculously win 2 games and Kayvon Thibideaux is waiting for us.

LOL yeah well….I don’t think the Jets are gonna finish with two wins either. But as of now at #2 with Kayvon off the board I would think JD takes Evan Neal. He’s a monster and a stud. Would be the perfect bookended to Becton or an insurance piece if Becton flames out. JD likes taking OL early so he’s probably the pick if no trade down. At #5 I would hope he takes Hutchinson. Nothing against Hamilton but part of the Jets problems for years now has been the lack of an outside pass rush. Now with Hutchinson and Lawson coming back you have a double whammy at EDGE. The Jets can always get a safety in the second round ….

I still think it's a long shot we end up getting a top 2 pick--

If we get #2, don't be shocked if we end up with Thibideoux, even though there's no clear cut QB...every year a QB shoots up the board and ends up taking that top spot (at least recently).

The Lions would be under massive pressure if they run it back with Goff next year....he's awful, unexciting and expensive. Think they will be under pressure to find their guy. Also, some would argue Aiden Hutchinson is even better than Thibideoux...and naturally he would be an option at #2.

I think if we sit at #3, you almost have to trade down OR you take Evan Neal. He's a special LT. Then move Becton to RT and resign Fant to swing tackle. Just an idea, but it would give us elite protection.

I'm definately with you on Stingley. Injured in both of the last two seasons and missing games because of that.

The last thing we need is another Dee Milliner pick!

If we can hit on defense this draft, like we did last year on offense, we can really see a different team next year. Especially if Lawson comes back and stays healthy.

I still think the future is very bright for this franchise and I think this next offseason is going to be critical

I don’t believe in it either. It’s bad for team culture to lose games even if you get a higher draft pick. The Browns and Lions have also had high draft picks for three decades and only now are the Browns a barely .500 team.

The Jets are right in that tunnel now. They're a decade into the three decade club and they don't know it because they believe their own marketing.

I'd fire the entire marketing department and not replace them until the Jets were competent enough to sell tickets on their own merit.

I'd keep the people who mail out the tickets and get the grunt work done but the geniuses who run marketing are very bad for the Jets right now.

It is not necessarily about draft order and number of picks the players you actually choose with the picks you have.
