I’m hoping for Mike White to have the worst day in the history of professional sports so that @cval and the rest of the miserable insecure Wilson sourpusses can relax. I’m all for the greater good.

Or maybe because he did what no other QB has ever done in the history of the NFL in his first start. I mean, we have to find out what BOTH of our QBs can do, don't we? It doesn't come down to hoping one of them fails and it is nothing to do with the media and the fans.

The ideal scenario - one of them proves good enough to be our franchise QB and the other is good enough to trade away for a high draft pick. That's what I'm hoping for. I don't care which is which.

One thing to keep in mind regardless of who the QB of the week is - we don’t exactly have a WR group that can help a young QB…….it’s OK buts it’s certainly not like the rams, cowboys, falcons or cardinals

It certainly isn’t the best situation considering the surrounding talent and few injuries.

Just makes it more difficult to evaluate the QB’s the rest of the year.
agree, but the jets NEVER get that "ideal scenario".....LOL.

You are so full of it. It is one thing hoping White plays well (which I do) and another taking jabs at Zach and pretending you are not.

If Zach busts it will set this Franchise back another 5 years.

You don’t have to believe me but I will be rooting for White to fail for you. I don’t want to fight.

The haters are so obvious and refuse to admit the struggles of a rookie. Posting clips of a questionable throw (lazy). I can post some amazing throws from Zach it proves nothing. others saying TL is on track etc.

It is the I want Zach to succeed but he really sucks. Last month is was fire Lefleur.

At least Br4d openly hates Zach.

You do not dump 2nd overall pick after 6 yes. Next week Zach will start and the haters will disappear if he plays well and if not come on here and gloat.

The clip was specifically for the discussion/debate over the relationship or lack thereof between inaccuracy and timing, Again if you bother to read and follow the discussion instead of wallow in your Wilson feelings you would have caught that. If you care to share your opinions on that topic, I’d love to hear it.

Nonetheless fuck Mike White; let’s hope he throws double digit picks on Sunday and we still win. Maybe then you’ll finally like me.

I have nothing against you. You are good poster but your bias about Zach is apparent (At least to me). For the record I hope Mike White plays great. That has nothing to do with Zach's development. We need Zach to play and develop know matter how MW plays.

He has really sucked. They’ve all sucked quite frankly and it’s disappointing from a QB class with so much hype.

Rookie quarterbacks that struggle with turnovers like this bunch has, usually have a very difficult time succeeding. It’s nearly a fact with some outliers.

There’s some time to recover and hope he becomes one of those outliers. Maybe he regains the job and throws for 225 YPG with 11/4 TD/INT on 63%.

But you can’t just throw the rookie label out there to cover up all struggles at all times. It doesn’t suffice in the modern day NFL anymore. Franchises have no patience for poor QB play like they once did, because the game has skewed towards allowing them to sink or swim from the start with all the rule changes.

In watching Fields, Lawrence and Wilson, I think what I’m most disappointed out of them by as a general football and CFB fan is the piss poor missed throws. All three of these guys have left a lot of first downs on the table because of dirt balls and air mail. Fields played decent against the Steelers but still missed two deep touchdowns that probably needed to be completed. Lawrence can’t figure out a Cover 2 to save his life.

He did throw a 26 yard touchdown to Moore against Indy FWIW.

Then say I’m bias then. Everyone here knows I wanted Fields. You are not breaking news w/ this constant rehashing. It’s the internet; there’s historical evidence. I think you are biased as evident by your extreme sensitivity to anything less than favorable towards Zach and/or pro White. I don’t need to bring it up every time you post. Don’t call me a Zach “hater”. I find that childish and insulting. There are very few things I hate in this world. Zach is not one of them. I don’t care enough about him to hate him. I’ll tell you what I do hate though. I hate having to relitigate predraft debates every time I make a comment about Zach. Take what I say at face value and I’ll reciprocate.

I was looking for deeper throws than that.

I figured, and I definitely agree. According to NFL's Next Gen stats they have deep balls classified as "balls traveling more than 20 air-yards", so that one did.

I'd consider deep to be like 30-40+.

I totally disagree with the bold in regards to Fields. Many of his misses are him leaning towards the side of not putting the ball in harms way vs giving his receiver and in turn the defender a chance. Like the 2 deep TD misses you referenced against the Steelers, I much rather he continue to miss by overthrowing the WRs by a couple yards than underthrow and introduce the chance of an INT. He didn’t get 1st team reps until week a couple weeks into the season. So there are still chemistry issues getting ironed out. But at least when he misses he it’s mostly away from defenders.

What has been problematic is him holding on to the ball too long though that’s improving and his ball security when scrambling or running. He has to have like 5 if not more fumbles already. Lucky for his team, he’s managed to recover about half of them.

Fields has thrown 8 INT's. It's not like he doesn't throw them.

Yeah I know, of course you do. Over throws are over throws. Under throws are under throws. He’s missed some and left a couple big plays off the board regardless if you want to rationalize it with him being careful with the ball.

Yes you can throw the rookie label. It is the hardest position in sports. It is also about situation and talent around you and the system. Just look at Mahomes struggles , Herbert has struggled at times this year and Burrow is coming down to earth. Zach, TL and Fields struggles are combination of being a rookie the team around them and the scheme.

If Zach does not improve dramatically next season then I will start saying he sucks. He will have bad games next season but hopefully the good outweighs the bad. To dismiss rookie struggles after what he had to go through is really unfair. His line sucked for the first 3-4 weeks and then only slightly improved, his receivers were running wrong routes and dropping passes and the play calling was suspect. Top that off with Zach holding the ball to long at times, seeing defenses of coverages for the first time and you have to have patience.

The kid has made some amazing throws he now has to put things together. The line is getting better, Play calling seems to be getting better, The receivers seem to be getting more comfortable and our backs are playing much better. Give the kid sometime if he ends up sucking we will know mostly by the end of next season. I am looking to forward to see how he does in the second half of this season.

Not starting him against Buffalo is a great move as they are the number one defense and anyone behind center is going to struggle. If White some how comes out and throws for 300+ yards he might actually be something special but I do not think we have the players on offense to compete with the Bills defense at this time. The way our Defense is playing White will need to put up 30 plus points to win this game.
