On other news, have you seen the dirty shit play on NE by Jones on the defender twisting his leg and knee with his arms after he was sacked and fumbled. I swear the Pats are a shit fucking bunch of dirty bastards. And they always get away with fucking murder.
Not sure about Mac but Gase - no. He simply isn’t head coach material. Eventually the Johnsons would catch on regardless. One thing about Woody as many bad decisions he has made he has no problem cutting dead wood as far as his HCs go. But sometimes I wonder if he realizes he just goes around in circles ….
I will say, that I hoped for the best when we drafted him, but I had my doubts. He had a reputation for not reading defenses really well, not throwing accurately, and lacking confidence. Some players' weaknesses get taken care of and trained out, and others' are permanent barriers to success. Darnold's were the latter. I really wanted Josh Allen. I said that before he turned into who he is now and I took a lot of flack here and elsewhere for saying that, as he was seen as Tebow 2.0. Of course, I wonder if he would have had the chance to develop with the Jets the way he has with the Bills.
As far as Darnold knows, he’s the starter this week. My goodness what a disaster. Some are calling for Rhules head down there now as well.
I'm a not a College football fan but I knew the chances of us drafting Sam was extremely high. So I watched the USC games that year and he didn't do it for me. Like I wasn't getting the appeal of drafting him. I really wanted it to work out though because I'm thirsty for us to have the QB position not to be a ? mark. He seems like a nice guy. He's only 24 yrs old. Hopefully for his sake he can figure things out.
Darnold will miss several weeks with a throwing shoulder injury What a nightmare for Carolina lol Although it's probably the best thing that could have happened
people said the same thing about sanchez and as far as i'm concerned he's living the life. great dude, wish he was a good QB but he's rich, working as an analysts now (and he's really good at it) young, and just enjoying his life. Darnold will be fine. probably have a good career as a back-up
as for Sam's demeanor... he's not a very demonstrative guy... (neither was Barry Sanders) that dont mean shit and if ya think it does, u dont know sports- punto Robbo is a solid NFL WR. Good deep threat. mostly reliable hands.
The Jets have been the winners of the Sam Darnold trade from the moment it happened. Everyone knew that Darnold was not going to be a Jet this season except the Darnold homers that convinced themselves otherwise. To get a 2nd round pick for that guy is unbelievable.
Sam, Would have struggled either way but he might have been considered an average QB. Just take a look around the league the young QB's that have success are on good to very good teams. Look at Mahomes , the first time the team is not stacked he is struggling. Herbert is on a very good team and Burrow is on a good team and they are both going through growing pains but the team around them masks it. When Tannehill got on a good team all of sudden he is good? Allen was drafted to a playoff caliber team, Kyler struggled as a rookie they bring in Hopkins and other weapons he is now great.
Tannehill was playing playoff caliber QB on the Phins b4 he got hurt...cost him teh tail end of one season and the whole of the next Sam is a b/u level QB. FullMcCown...he can become a mentor.
