His trainer just posted this video on Instagram with him training with a Jets hoodie on: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CVyqSyYg3Lt/?utm_medium=copy_link
The point of his retirement was that the next hit could cripple him. That he retired two full years before he left the roster is beside the point.
Did he mismanage his funds? Why risk it to comeback to a sport that most likely will bring the crippling hit? There's love of the game, and there's the need for money.
I would think that he is unlikely to be able to pass a physical at this point. The physicals aren't just for the clubs. The process has to sign off on the player being healthy and fit for NFL play.
Thats all we need is to add permanently crippling poor Quincy to our growing list of 2021 accomplishments.
Eh maybe a big stretch to say he’s coming back until he says he is or it’s being reported that he will. Otherwise he may just want to stay in tip top shape. God speed if he does though.
I think he is just working out, probably repping Jets gear since he was a Jet his whole career and probably still has some loyalty to them. Even though he is retired, doesn't mean he can't work out to stay healthy and fit.
I can't remember who it was on the board, but someone went ape shit about how Q was taking business classes while on the IR when he was with us. Would be some really shitty classes if he mismanaged all his money. EDIT - I think it was WarriorRB28
I never understood why the Jets pigeon holed Enunwa into the wide receiver tunnel screen only guy after he had that one good season for us. It’s also wild that he was pretty much our best pick from the 2014 Jets class.
I watched Hollywood Brown for the Ravens catch a ball yesterday, juke a defender and then sit down on his own in the middle of the field, yielding the "tackle" to the defender so he didnt have to get hit. It angered me. Enunwa would catch a ball and refuse to go down, often using his head as a battering ram to pick up as many yards as possible. But his career is over and Hollywood Brown will play a long time in this league so maybe he's got it right and Enunwa & I have it wrong as to how a WR should play
