It is. Amazingly enough, Mac Jones has been the best QB of the class so far. And he hasn’t been very good himself. He just has two of the GOAT game planners of all time at his back. It’a early of course but I think it’s fair to say we all bit somewhat too much on the hype of this QB class.
Bill's detractors point to his record without Brady, but going 7-9 last year with a ton of opt outs and being a few plays away from being 6-3 or 7-2 shows he can coach without Tom.
I’ve never bought any of that. Brady doesn’t win all three of his first Super Bowl’s without Bill. They also don’t hold the McVay Rams SB without that brilliant 6 man defensive line game plan against the zone run. It was a mutualistic relationship for 20 years.
Our defense has been doodoo, not sure what we will see from that side. Could be a close game or a blowout loss. Don't think there is a in-between
The one thing we do have going for us is that we’ve beaten two teams at home that are in the playoff hunt. The defensive line actually plays at home.
We're on pace for 4-5 wins currently with some pretty bad teams left on our schedule. With some luck there's a decent chance this turns into the "still bad, but definitely improved" season we all hoped for.
Shocker Buffalo lost Well this will be interesting.... When I think about it the OL has to protect our QB from getting killed ...whether it's Wilson or white since Bills will try to shut us down Game will be decided in trenches esp how many points we give up
They're not better enough to handle the #1 team in a game we would have no chance of winning. If White gets into his rhythm next week we probably have a 33% chance of winning the game.
Looking to clean up against shitty teams isn't going to tell us a whole lot about them. The tough games are what do that. The Bengals game gave me some hope. The Titans game with no receivers didn't turn my worm.
If Mike White stays healthy we might get the 8 or 9 wins I thought impossible at the beginning of the year. It would be really unusual for his performances in the last 3 games to be a fluke. Nothing about them suggests fluke. You *cannot* complete 37 out of 45 passes in an NFL game without having some real talent.
Bengals looked great today as they got trounced by Cleveland and a QB most people here think is garbage.
Of course he's got real talent, he's in the NFL. However, the real test is when opponents take away the underneath routes and Mike White is forced to change his strategy. That's when we get to see just how good White is...
