White throws for over 400 yards in his first NFL start with a team whose offensive production has been complete rubbish for longer than one can remember. We can safely say it's White's job to lose, even though you won't hear it from the Jets' brass.
The game plan was for Greg Knapp to be on the sideline with Zach and Lefluer to be in the booth. When Knapp passed, Zach wanted Lefluer on the sideline with him. Lefluer never wanted to be on the sideline, he’s a booth guy. I don’t think anybody’s talked about that on here. Sunday was the first game he was in the booth.
It def helps when you can see where guys are lining up consistently and how deep. I still think he was being too predicatable and cute instead of just doing the job the way it should have been done. Hopefully he keeps it up.
I expect White to come back to earth this week though will still keep hope alive that they have something more with him. When the season started, I expected the Jets would be noncompetitive and unwatchable should Wilson get hurt as they were prepared to trot out Mike White, a Luke Falk-esque backup, or Josh Johnson, a journeyman without much playing experience. I assumed it would make for bad games with little to look forward to. I can't believe how well Mike White played and hopefully they have something, but at the very least, I appreciate he's made the Jets worth watching without Wilson. It's always fun to watch the latest young backup QB come in and see if they struck gold.
I expect a lot of blitzes and short zones forcing us to throw it deep. white didn't really throw it deep at all . Indy plays a similar defenses to us though normally. lots of heavy zone and pressure with the front 4. I could see them changing it up. Wentz will also test our safties more then burrow did. wentz leads the NFL in yards off PI penalties by a lot. Our DBs need to be smart
I would be beyond shocked if White has a game anywhere near as good as the last one. It's just not going to happen. I also have a hard time declaring him the FQB after one great start. If any other fanbase declared their journeyman backup QB the next Brady after one start we'd all be laughing our asses off. But I guess that's what makes us Jets fans.
So don't do it - no one else has. I'm getting the idea there are people here who would rather see the Jets fail than see White succeed.

White is closer to brady than he is to cousins , dont disrespect our guy like that. Remember how cousins in his free agency tried to Milk every last dollar out of teams pockets . And how he is unvaxxed . Not a leader by any stretch White like Brady will likely take a pay cut when it comes time to give him his mega deal. White also has proven he can beat elite teams
This is absurd. Mike White will come crashing down. Probably tomorrow night. There's a reason why he's a backup. I hate to throw shade on this rosy thread but the fact is until we get Zach Wilson playing well the Jets are screwed.....
