BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAH!
Apparently this was reported as far back as last night in Detroit. Good scoop, ESPN. http://www.mlive.com/lions/weblog/index.ssf?/mtlogs/mlive_lions/archives/2007_01.html#220716
What's the next step for Lions fans? I'm waiting for the story about how security arrested a guy that came to the stadium strapped with explosives wearing a Matt Millen mask.
I think I read somewhere that Millen is an in-law of some sort with the owner. It's the only explanation.
He's the Elgin Baylor of football. First they blow the #1 pick and now this. A bad week even for Lions fans.
Im suprised the NFL hasnt stepped in an gotten this idiot out of there, he is completly destroying that franchise.
Wow. As Jets fans, we've felt our fair share of misery, but damn. How much can Lions fans be expected to endure? When will Ford learn? When there are 83 people in the stands, and 74 of them are there to root for the visiting team?
But this isn't just not keeping his eye on the ball - this is wilfully continuing down a path that has led to record-setting failure. I continue to be completely mystified by this. Baylor kept his job a long time because he was willing to do Sterling's dirty work and continually destroy the Clippers before the payroll got to even average levels, but that's not the case here. Millen is just totally, completely, absolutely incompetent.
Does anybody recall the Seinfeld episode where George tries to get fired from the Yankees and no matter what he does Steinbrenner won't fire him? This reminds me of the Matt Millen situation...
