I wouldn't expect anything less out of the stubble twins, but they're really yerking Brady off hard already.
Mark Sanchez shows up on TV and all of a sudden Brady starts playing like Sanchez. Coincidence? You decide!
Jalen Hurts is in a no win situation. Kind of feel bad for him but an opportunity is an opportunity no matter how limited.
This is the second time the Eagles coaching staff has put him in a situation like this. They've run the ball with Sanders TWICE so far. They did the same thing against the Cowboys and buried themselves early. It makes no sense.
I know TB is talented but Hurts didn't even look qualified to be in the NFL last night. He is a one read QB that can only throw (and run) to his right. If I was Phily I'd be prepping Minshew to take over ASAP.
I agree to an extent. Their schemes are predictable and often make no sense, and they don't run the ball enough. But it still doesn't change the fact that the guy can't throw an accurate pass to the left side of the field. And he throws the worst deep ball in the league.
The NFL has wronged Minshew so badly; in 20 starts with the Jaguars he has a passer rating in the low 90s (on the Jaguars!), and he won 7 of the games. Oh and the Jaguars haven't won a game without him since 2018 (!!!). He's a starting-caliber QB but because he doesn't have a big arm and he was drafted late, nobody's willing to give him a chance.
He's probably in the top 32 QB's currently rostered but once you take out the Franchise QBs and the one's immovable due to their contract then he's really only looking at teams that are themselves looking at rookies who could be the guy that elevates the franchise and as good as he is, he's not that guy.
I can't understand it. Minshew is a good point guard that runs a competent offense. He would've been a great stopgap starter for the Jets. 37 touchdowns to 11 picks on 62%.
He isn't a guy I'd pay big money to, but I honestly think he's better than about half the guys currently starting.
